My style is “classical Impressionism “ fairly loose I try to give enough information in the painting so that it looks realistic. If you put in sufficient detail the viewer infers the rest in his own mind. Strangely if you put in too much detail the painting will look overworked. You must remember that it has to look like a painting not a photograph. Regarding you question about style I would suggest that you paint in a manner that pleases you and then work to get better at that style. I think the main thing is to get as good as you can in your own chosen style. You will know when a particular painting is good.

This just showed up in my reccomended, not too surprised but stuff like this barely ever shows up. I love this alot and its so calming as well. The finished peice is very pretty too, I love watercolors so much.

I find it difficult to put light into a painting, but you’ve done it. Looks good.

@@roberthoward3723 thank you Robert. I think getting light into a watercolour is very important. And I think it helps if you have good contrast light against dark.
