Ils faut leur dire que certains africains ne sont pas au courant de leur existence. Soutenons nous peuples noirs dans tous les continents, nous toujours marginalisés

These people were slaves purchased by the Nawab of Junagadh, who used to bring them from African countries. By living with them, they are Muslims by name, but all other customs, celebrations and festivals are like Hindus. They also live near my village. There was a program at the shrine of some Pir of theirs and hundreds of people were dancing by performing Garba of Matarani.

Completely false, this lie has been spread for years and started as a creative essay project in the early 1930's Fijians are Austronesian and Melanesian and there is 0 genetic evidence of recent African genealogy.

Yep, that stands out as far as I know on the Austronesian connection

when you tell Kenyans that you are from Lamu they believe you because you physically look like an east african. The same will happen to Senegalese or Malians or people from Niger etc... so don't be surprised. However they also know that some kenyans didn't grow up there so they do not speal Kiswahili well

even the fijian language is different from the African language. Instead we have similar words and meaning with Asians. My cousin, a soldier in the Fiji army went to East Timor for peacekeeping and he said that the words we use for counting numbers sound alike. even the words for coconut, cassava and taro were the same. i also had a Filipino lecturer and she said that she could understand what we Fijian boys were saying. so we are more Asian than African, i guess. also, one of my uncle a soldier(SAS) went there. and there task was to capture a local rebel leader. the rest of his platoon were white. When the rebel leader heard that one Fijian were among them, this rebel leader gave himself in to them. When questioned by my uncle, he said that Fijians used to live there before they left, and the Fijians are their chiefs and they were the servants to Fijians.

@SKI710 Something could be said with Swahili (East African language) and Arabic. Human has borrowed words from each other for centuries

@@visualpoet1 does it sound Fijian? And vice-versa? The vowels sounds of Fiji ,tonga and Samoa and other Pacific Islands sound similar and mean the same...at least most of them....can it be said about Swahili?
