@@BruceGreenberg I have a copy of this concert that i received through trade long long ago. That recording i have was recorded directly from the broadcast because between songs there are station ID's. But that does not happen with yours. So, i am wondering if your recording source is the direct feed of broadcast that does not include the dj talks. And besides that your version is longer than the one i have. Is this available in lossless format anywhere? I already transfered my tape to digital format but would love to have this version in lossless.

@@josepolido2550 I ripped it directly from the DAT tape that the station recorded it on. Give me a social media link and we can DM.

Joni’s voice was always gorgeous, but I think the 1980’s and 90’s were when she really was at a peak. I loved the albums from that era… Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm, Night Ride Home and Turbulent Indigo. I think they were overlooked. ✌🏼

This performance is sublime. It was recorded in between "Turbulent Indigo" and "Taming the Tiger", when she was STILL playing acoustic guitars, but was about to abandon them in favor of her electronic substitute. Why? So that she wouldn't have to manually tune to her unique alternate tunings? It's been suggested that her new guitar was to accommodate her difficulty in playing conventional acoustic guitars. I would hate to think that the reason was to simplify retuning, because the sound of the acoustic is so much better. Also, I just stumbled on to this (it recalled where I'd left off), and it was right here where she introduces her collaborative work with David Crosby (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnLWgIl7aqyfpbs); yes, THAT David Crosby, who just died the other day :( Also, the song is "Yvette in English", which for some reason, is left out of the description.

This is Joni Mitchell performing at her musical best, in my opinion. Far superior to those ghastly synth(etic) sounds of some of her records in the 1980s/90s. She definitely didn't need them. This sort of music is sublime.

@@clivespendlove5993 For Joni, it is the creative journey. As an artist she had no need to remain stagnant. Yes, some record were more successful than others, but as I see it just be thankful that such a genius exists in or lives and enjoy the parts you love and just respect we get to come along for the ride.
