Just made mine from a kit, good choice for me, as it is more satisfying. The instructions are a model of clarity, really easy to follow step by step, with no need to refer to other pages back and forth.

make one without strings.... we want to see it float completely... I tried, but keep failing as power of magnet is either too diverse and sticks or pushes away all at once

The included /manual link in the box takes you to a page full of dead links. Just a heads up.

Unusual for an alpha to have a displacer at all. Most diagrams/explkainations show the alpha with only a tight fitting piston in the hotr cylinder.

Hi Kontax. Are you aware of any theoretical reason the would jeopardize the efficacy of larger ltd stirling engines? Say one with a one meter diameter?

How long did it take the Helium engine to get up to speed (during the cut away). That a cut away was even necessary suggests it took a long time. Helium is notoriously difficult to contain so by the time the "pressure equalized" how much helium would be left?
@yassersaeed20106 ай бұрын
Stupid and useless video! Why in hell you posted the tutorial video in high speed? The user manual is almost useless to help assemble the Tensegrity table and now this useless video doesn't help at all!!!!
@jimparsons68036 ай бұрын
Interesting and thanks. Made sense about the difference in the plates. As for the 'bottlenecks,' isn't that the point, that is where the mechanical energy is taken from? The next idea might be about the efficacy of the chosen system.

It is a Supercondutor Technologies Superfilter. I've come across these at hamfests. They use a superconducting quantum interference device for fine tuning the frequency being received, and the cryogenic cooling device is extreme gross overkill for the application which is a glorified antenna tuner.❤
@bobert45226 ай бұрын
Are you still finding them at hamfests? I can’t ever find them.

I'm also looking for one but it seems like they no longer exist. May you have another idea on where to source a cryocooler on a budget. 😂
@bobert45225 ай бұрын
@@PilotOfEDBL helium compressor and a cryostat can be had for maybe < $1000. Not as turnkey though, and they usually only run on 220V.

Pretty amazing this sterling engine was designed in the eighties forty kilowatts is nothing to sneeze at. But five hundred kilowatts is my current goal. 😎👍

It's a fascinating piece. It comes as a kit in a surprisingly small box. Many of the parts are very tiny, so be extremely careful in order not to lose any.
@sierraecho8849 ай бұрын
Really wish somebody would simplify the whole thing and connect it to a small battery to power an electric motor. This type of engine is perfect for range extension. But currently they are too bulky

It's crazy how all these viable stirling car engine designs are over 10 years old and no further progress has been made since. Funny world we live in..
@sierraecho8844 ай бұрын
This design is from 1988.....so quiet older than 10 years. They have not received any funding since. Turbines and stirlings would be great as range extenders on hybrid cars.

I'm hoping Lee Valley decides to include your dual cylinder solar model in their catalog offering. They currently carry your single cylinder model, but it pales in comparison to this one.
