Wow. Seems complicated and time consuming. Every 6-12 months? I’m reconsidering this purchase, probably going to cancel it after seeing all this. Time to upgrade the efficiency of filter changes guys.
@uswatersystems2 күн бұрын
Filter changes just depend on the quality of your incoming water. It's like this with every RO on the market. It can take longer but on average it's about once a year. For an accurate account you would just have to test your water with a TDS meter. It may tell you after a year they need to be changed or maybe longer. Everyone's water is different.

You actually don’t need to put any tape or pipe dope on the threads like you did. Compression fittings seal inside, and not with the threads.

What is the salt calculating for 1 litre of resin
@fazilkhan681912 күн бұрын
What will be the out put for 1ltr resin and 500ppm of hardness as cac03
@uswatersystems11 күн бұрын
I am not sure exactlly what you are asking. If the hardness is expressed as 500 ppm of CaCO₃ in 1 liter of resin, it directly means that there is 500 mg of CaCO₃ equivalent hardness in that 1 liter of resin. The output or total amount of hardness in terms of CaCO₃ would be 500 mg of hardness for 1 liter of resin.

My tank STA-RITE RT-948. 040504 How much media do I need? Thanks. 48"Height and 9"width. It has back wash too.
@uswatersystems13 күн бұрын
Depends on what system you have. For that size tank usually one cubic ft (1 bag) and it may also need gravel. What kind of filter is it?
@ahayahshouse534422 күн бұрын
How much and how often is maintenance of this system?
@uswatersystems21 күн бұрын
That depends on the incoming water quality but on average I would say filter changes once a year and a membrane change every 3 to 5 years.
@ahayahshouse534422 күн бұрын
Does this system permanently remove the "rotten egg" smell from well water?
@uswatersystems21 күн бұрын
That is going to depend on how high of a volume of Sulfur is in your water. Reverse osmosis is primarily used for removing chemicals, virus and bacteria. It can remove sulfur which causes that smell but if you have a lot of it you will want a pre-filter installed before the system for it to be 100% effective. Also have a professional water test done and looked at by an expert before purchasing a system to make sure what you buy is going to solve all of your water problems. If you ever need one we offer this service.

I must have an older RO system, as the RO membrane is not in a housing. The are 3 lines going to membrane filter. Is there a way to sanitize without running the sanitizer through the RO membrane, I am assuming that the sanitizer will ruin the membrane.

Just because it’s not a source of minerals does not mean you don’t need water with minerals in it. Water with no minerals in it flushes out the minerals that you’re getting elsewhere or that you already have. That’s why you need mineralized water so that it doesn’t flush out your minerals. Stop lying to people.

We do have a flouride removal filter option but you would have to make sure you choose that model of the BodyGuard (or combine it with the existing model) if that is what you want to focus on removing: uswatersystems.com/products/bodyguard-fluoride-removal-filter-by-us-water-systems?_pos=3&_sid=50008ce7c&_ss=r

It's a good idea because it will help the salt dissolve faster but if you didn't I wouldn't worry about it. It's not essential.

Water are that 7.01 pH or higher is alkaline water and you don’t want to drink that because it’ll change your stomach acid more alkalinity and therefore you’re not gonna digest your food properly and start having health issues so you wanna drink distilled water and add baking soda to it to bring the acid up so you get the proper stomach acid ph. Same goes for dogs
