hello my friend because you're in chemistry I would like to know is there any way to make transparent starch solution? because I tried to filter it and it doesn't work .thx
@chatzida2 ай бұрын
I prepare my 2% starch solution in a way that it is transparent. I boil 100 mL of water in a beaker (beaker A), and in a separate beaker (B) I weigh 2 g of starch. Then I add a very small amount of room temperature water on the starch and I mix with a glass rod to make a slurry (not a solution). It is important to add the proper amount of water; we do not want starch powder nor solution but a slurry. Then I pour the hot water of beaker A to beaker B and stir thoroughly with a rod or magnetic stirrer. The resulting starch solution is transparent! But keep in mind that starch solutions are not preserved too long because bacteria and fungi love them!

Αρχικά θα ήθελα να σας πω ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ!! Θα ήθελα όμως να μου λύσετε μία απορία για την ασκηση 3... Μπορώ να βρώ την μάζα μόνο απο τον τύπο mol = m/ ΜΒ; Δηλαδή να γίνει: m=mol x MB=3 X 40= 120gr. Μετα όμως πως βρισκουμε το 60gr;
@chatzida5 ай бұрын

Great video. I want to ask a question. I used 0.1g patton-Reeder indicator to determine calcium in my sample. But it turn directly to purple after i added the indicator. It should be pink to purple to blue(end point). Is 0.1g is too much or my calcium content in sample is to low?
