Old video, I know, but Bob said she's made an effort to not comment on people's bodies, and almost as soon as Trixie started talking she commented on her body. I've recently lost a lot of weight and I appear to be healthier than ever, but I've actually had a ton of health problems recently that have contributed to my weightloss. That comment, although meant to be positive towards Trixie, triggered my dysphoria 🙃

So it's crazy I have held space for defying gravity for 8 years now. It just keeps hitting my heart in different ways each time I listen.

I watched it yesterday and it’s my first experience with Wicked. I’m pretty sure Oz is Elphaba’s father. I relistened to the end of no one mourns the wicked and a sentimental man. Same voice, so even more NEFARIOUS, he used Elphaba’s mother too, feeding her green elixir and knocking her up. And when he sang about helping Elphaba ascend “allows him to feel so parental…” that was so suspicious. I had to get the soundtrack afterwards for enjoyment and research. 🤓 Needless to say, can’t wait for part II

Ooh, the actor that portrayed Nessarose really did a great job capturing the personality of Nessarose from both book and movie. As an oldest sister, I never liked Nessarose. I've always found her disrespect and abandonment of a person that always protected and cared for her to be completely abrasive. Not to mention the things that she will do (in Part 2) that I won't spoil here

When I listen to Defying Gravity ..it makes me think of how a year ago I had learn to fly in my own as I had to walk away from my family of origin. I always knew coming out would leave me on my own. But you have to learn to love yourself and be who you are. And sometimes that means to fly on your own.
