You know what would be hilarious? If Guptill did a read through/review of the Sonichu comics in a video while he is wearing the old Knuckles costume. I could hear him now. "How dare you try to pass off this knock off version of me as an original IP." Like if he was to bring the Sonic content out of retirement that would the way to do it.

eek!!!! as an autistic guy who's admittedly been intensely hyperfixated on dylan's work for over a year now (with the fixation getting especially severe these past 8 months), this is a surprisingly well researched video and i find it *unbelievably* refreshing to see a video on the guy that isn't totally mean spirited! :) a whole lot of people are discussing what they think of the guy down here in the comments, and as... probably his biggest fan ever (you could ask anyone who knows me and they'd totally agree) i think what i find so nice about his stuff is the genuine raw unfiltered authenticity that all of his videos have, even to this day!!! other than what he's making videos about, his style of content hasn't really changed at all? unlike a large amount of youtubers nowadays who make content for the sake of the algorithm, he's still sort of doing his own thing. they're not too flashy or fast-paced and i personally find it all very comfortable. they've all got a charm that i genuinely don't think could ever be replicated by anyone else nowadays? they all just have so much soul that you can't really find anywhere else. outside of his infamous videos, he genuinely seems like a really nice dude who just likes to make things in his free time and he has a lot of respect for people who do the same. there was this one deleted and significantly more obscure video of his where he discussed *other* youtubers that were being relentlessly hated on and mocked, and even if he didn't care for their content personally, he never saw it as a bad thing and even defended them. as pretentious as his content might seem at face value, i do really think there's been nothing but good intention behind it all and i find it really really comforting to watch. guptill's completely unironically without a doubt one of my favorite people on the internet and i do appreciate this video :) as useful as all the old commentary videos are for finding lost media related to him, like i said previously it's nice to see something that isn't entirely just mocking the dude . also, he's a homestar runner fan and that's ultra cool

Also idk if its a glitch or a design flaw, but in the final boss when you're nina and you have to climb the energy pillars on the last jump its always soo difficult to latch idk why i raged soo much there.

Quite a knowledgeable on how Linkara at one point is ironically a bad writer he would criticize if not scream over, but also make a pretty interesting analog horror series even if it’s just a April fools joke.

2004 was da bomb, I got Metroid prime 2, paper Mario 1000 year door, Jak 3, Ratchet 3, MGS3… I didn’t even know or care crash games were coming out; if naughty dog wasn’t making em I wasn’t playing em.

I can definitely relate to that feeling of being young and stumbling across something that you felt like you shouldn’t have, like you entered a space that’s so scared you but also intrigues you in the same way. Honestly in some ways I kind of miss that part of my childhood, things just felt a lot bigger when you were a kid, in a way that it doesn’t have now.

Then I put the closed captions on to make sure what I was hearing was correct. I genuinely do not know what this means. Also this guy is spot on about smart phones and the internet ruining ppl. You contend with 'well just use these in moderation have balance' and yeah you're right but these companies have spent million engineering ppl into becoming hapless addicts. And they have succeeded ten fold. At this point the way social media is set up its almost like telling someone to use heroin in moderation. It could be done, but most likely doubtful. In retrospect this guy comes off as a PG Ted Kaczynski.

Seeing people get mad about "omg the Sonic countdown video was a joke", but here's the thing - at that time, especially in the Sonic fandom, there was a LOT of that done in all thirsty sincerity. It's still done, we're just used to it as "Sonic crap". And like Dylan said, this video about "hot chick heaven" coming from a guy who had done so much sincere pearl-clutching made it even unintentionally funnier. He just seems to be a grumpy prudish uncle in a younger person's body, and that is inherently amusing. EDIT: Anyone else expect him to wham his head on that toolbox in that "exercise challenge response" video? That's not a safe workout setup.

4:53:33 what makes this case even worse is that when the mother saw the camera footage and saw that he was being escorted out of the building by two children she was relieved to know that he was with kids that she believed were just wanting to play with him or comfort him for being sad about not being able to find his mother. The logical side of me wants to say "they did this horrible thing when they were really little, we shouldn't judge them based on something they did back when their brains weren't even capable of comprehending critical thinking" but the emotional side of me wishes that they didn't even get to grow up to experience critical thinking because the boy they killed won't, so they shouldn't either. Either way I hope they know how much people hate them for what they did, and that they should never live a single day without thinking of how much everyone hates them.

on that one youtube is most definitely biased toward conservatives not even an argument there. from ad rev to just not having any of their vids ever just pop up. not a conservative myself but im not deluded most of these corporations are very biased against them. from youtube to Netflix to Amazon to the media on the whole NBC ABC so on. it is pretty ridiculous how blatant it is in industries where it absolutely should be open and fair to everyone. but wow.
