I seen where in a comment that you said the stock suspension on your 2013 xc was deflecting in the rocks and was sending it to Stillwells . I am supposed to ,go pick up a 2013 xc 300 tomorrow but concerned about the suspension not being good in the rocks and super tight hard Enduro style single track. Do you have any advice on which bike to get xcw open chamber vs xc closed chamber . I ride tight single track only in the west Carolina mountains . We have been coming to the west for the past two years Rico Colorado , Montana and Utah . You guys have some nice riding on that side of the US . Any advice would be great .

Did you try to do this manually before trying to get the forklift? Cause we just tried with ours manually and opted for the fork lift. Hence we found this video. thanks

When I ordered it and saw the instructions from their website, I thought I could have 4 strong guys help me.....but in reality trying to balance with 4-6 strong people with another twisting in bolts one at a time seemed slightly risky :-)... Congrats on your install.... you will really enjoy your new toy. get yourself some LODGE cast iron pots so you can learn how to make some other dishes the following day w/ the 500 degree temp that is leftover. We make breakfast in there, 4-hour slow roasted sweet onions (6lbs)...candy!, bread, etc. good fun.

What camera did you use to film this?

Nikon d800 w/ 24-120mm....works well but you/I can hear the servos on the autofocus...next time i would just do manual focus

thanks, the autofocus looks really smooth.

Been awhile ! I traded my 05 . 300exc straight across for a 05 CRF450X..last month....first real ride was Sat. Indian hills to VC .. via stefanie lane...as much off road as i could without getting into the gnarly stuff. 80 miles.

Thanks for the vid. It convinced me to rent a forklift for mine. it is the only safe way - you are correct. Great looking oven by the way!

***** we just slid it off the pallet and onto the fork legs. it will slide with a good amount of effort from 1-2 people

you have this bike plated in california? how? i thought that the newer 2 stroke bikes after a certain year, cant be registered? im curious to know the process on how you got it registered, i never registered a bike before so i dont know the process in general but were there any emissions tests done for sound or oil pollution or were there no tests of these? in other words, how straightforward is it to register a 2t bike, is there a certain factor that can easily rule out the others?

Looks nice man. I have a plated WR450 with same endure kit on it. Great kit, as it is small and looks good. In my experience, those mirrors have sucked on my bike. Im looking to upgrade them.

Hey Geezer... can't share...but likely you know Nate Dawg (dirt tricks) and he can drop you the track or take you out there...just needs some rain and it would be perfect...

Actually it was a pretty tough decision...can't tell you how many people i spoke to etc... i ride a fair amount of 2-3 gear single track, enjoy the rocky washes as well as high speed rough terrain so i ended up going w/ the XC. Feels pretty planted but the stock suspension is a little harsh in the mid-stroke and starts to deflect off rocks. The suspension is out at Stillwell Performance, talk to Alan Stillwell. Will report back on the new setup in a bit.

So why did you end up getting a XC? and not the XC-W Here in Oregon there is the tight technical terrain in the forest but some wide open riding areas as well and just cruising down the roads I wish I had the xcw for the wider tranny... And your's is street leagal.? why not the xcw?
