In my experience quitting vaping is actually the easy part. It's only tough for those first 7 days. After that, it gets exponentially easier every single day further. However, the real challenge is in relapsing. I've quit for over a year at a time; however it only takes that one day when something happens or you are in a really low place mentally/emotionally for you to go out and buy another vape. I often used being broke as a reason to quit. I spend 35 bucks a week on vapes, and while I can afford it comfortably now, back when I wasn't making as much money, I'd be figuring out any possible way to scrape up enough money to go get a vape. So, when the times came that I was flat broke with absolutely zero possible sources of money, I'd take it as an opportunity to quit. I'd go through those first 2 hellish days. Days 3 to 5 would be less shitty, but still not great. Then after about a week and a half, I'd feel completely withdrawn and no longer physically addicted. Cravings would drop by 95%. I'd be saving that money, and overall feeling okay without the vapes. But then however many months down the line, I end up having a really shitty day/week/month and I finally cave in and buy a vape. It's kinda scary because I can actually recognize when I'm gonna relapse way before it happens. Like one time I knew I'd probably relapse by the end of the week before the cravings even begun. The best advice I can give is to distract yourself when the cravings hit. Work/school is great for this. However when you are home or have a day off, you need to occupy as much time as possible doing something interactive and rewarding. Video games seem to be my best antidote to withdrawal cravings. They spike your dopamine and keep your mind occupied on a single track.
