31:58 exemplifies why the people in her group completely missed the point of the exercise. Jane wasn't insinuating that they as individuals are bigots, she merely wanted them to receive a little taste of how it feels when the less fortunate are recipients of this kind of behaviour for their entire lives.

A friend of mine who was a student of Eric's introduced me to him and I got to spend some time with him a couple of times, and got to share a stage with him in Hastings in 2004. I was privileged to attend what I think may have been his last public performance, and I supposed it may have been due to his failing health at the time, but it seemed to me to be perhaps the most emotional musical performance I've ever seen. In particular, I remember him playing "Deep Deep Down", and the feeling was, indeed, infinitely deep and passionate and soulful. I will never forget it.

That blonde woman is terrible thinking that dressing up cleanly is comparable to the father not picking up his child for fear of racism against his child.

I've experienced racism a whole lot recently ad a black man Philadelphia has a lot of racism especially down center city it's sad I get stared at by people down there like what are you doing around here people who think that way are very ignorant and just judge us as a people based on television and opinions if they took the time to actually sit down and socialise with a African American there opinion would change but a lot of other races are not willing to do that it's a disease of the mind and evil to be racist against any group of people based on race or sexuallty or orientation I wish people I feel like crying having to deal with racism it hurts me it makes me angry I would never be racist against anyone cause I love all races and nationality I would date any race of woman I was in the park and there was an Indian woman just sitting from me I thought she was gourgus she had long black hair just beautiful I thought about approaching her fact of the matter is when it comes to women I don't see race a woman is a woman I had a lady in my life but I'll be patient I believe one day she will come into my life and we will know we are right for each other we are all one in gods eyes

Yep, subtle racism for sure.... Her husband wouldn’t show up to work with, “Bad clothes, long hair...” while the black man she is currently talking to about racism not being real, has long hair. 😒

Nobody learned anything from this. Black folks still think it's all white folks are racist and they being a victim and white folks feel rightfully justified in denying this, because at the end of the day racism in an individual choise you make towards another person.

Jane talks nothing but facts.....the system is designed for white people to benefit more then other races and actually feel that they are entitled to it. This experiment proves allot specifically the fact they cannot identify or see it and that's how deluded they are.

Jane Elliott is missing one key element of racism. CULTURE black culture is one of the most despised and despicable cultures on the planet. The thuggery, murder, and violence is the number one thing holding black communities back today and you are not allowed to talk about it. I'm talking about it loud and clear. Remove this one blacks are some of the most amazing people on the planet. Add that and they are some of the most non respected people despised people. Pick your poison.

What you listed is the result of poverty and a racist system on top of that. Middle Class blacks can't relate to the violence, thug lifestyle and murder. You can't call it black culture. Impoverished white folk can relate to poor black people way more. They both are more likely to engage in degeneracy with the difference that the system is in favor of white people. White people have been engaging in savage behavior, violence, murder and thuggery regardless of their class though. Racism, violence, savagery, devilish behavior is white culture, which is why it's so easy for mostly white kids to shoot up their school and grocery stores.

I was hoping at the end, she would reveal to the brown eyes team that she was able to radicalize them by the end of the test. But she never did. The children who she performed her very first test upon came to that conclusion themselves when she told them to switch positions and change negative bias toward brown eyes instead of blue. Both kids teams by the end of the test had learned how easy it is to use anecdotal evidence and cultural pressure to create prejudice. The adults were unable to learn this because they immediately changed the blue eyes vs brown eyes experiment into just another argument about race. The kids didn't see skin color as a factor and performed the test as it should have been with these people. No lesson was learned with these adults and unfortunately i don't think Ms.Elliot learned the point of even her own test.

It's seriously so surprising that after many times this study's have been done, a lot of people in the oppressed group still absolutely CANNOT get the point. It's not about labelling all whites as racist. It's about having to reflect about the actions that people could do to stop the racism. You can be white and frown upon the other whites who are racist, sure, but what do you do as someone who this racist white person will consider an equal, do to fight that? Because if a discriminated person stands up for themselves, the racist will just think more negatively of them for fighting back, hence further adding fuel to the fire of the racist's perception. I think that's the point.

Should not have nothing to do with slavery. That happened 400 years ago. Even today. 2023. If you are black. You still act as if you are still a slave. Please. It's been so long ago. That you truly are not even a descendant of slavery any longer.
