Couple of things: - Mr Aziz I praise you for standing up for Pakistan and arguing for the Pak army at many prominent stages. - I praise you for understanding the importance of liberal economic systems and also for implementing such system for a small period of time, I hope there were more reforms but in reality coming gov of PPP completely destroyed the economy - Finally, I do not know you in person but in this interview you have come across as an extremely arrogant man. I really hated how you picked on Mehdi about him not being an economist. I also abhorred how you responded to a gentleman when he asked about GDP doubling figures.

I am a muhajir. I have indian muslim cousins. Mehdis views and anti pakistan sentiment is common amongst many indian muslims. This conscious hatred they have and equating the creation of pakistan for the issues indian muslims face. 🤷🏽‍♂️. Sometimes I feel mehdi hasn't studied political theories and may need to understand the concent of realism and neo-realism a bit more. One example. Why doesnt he speak about indias tactics to supply armed groups in balochistan ( it's just a part of intl politics).

Mehdi is an intelligent guy and certainly knows a great deal about the topics he is interviewing people on. But often times he tries too hard to push his narrative (which includes a very subjective, black & white distinction regarding what's good and what's bad) and making sarcastic remarks which often include stereotypical generalizations makes him come across as someone who is trying desperately to one-up the person he is interviewing through sympathy/and or laughs from the audience. Rather than simply engaging in a meaningful discussion he often laughs off the other guy's view and I think as an interviewer he should know that this is counter-productive to his own role.
