The height was 24 inches and the width was what ever size board you use. So mine was a little under 11 inches

I really like triple-coat water-based poly, it's my go-to poly. Awesome project, nicely done! I have never played D&D so I don't know what would be a good accessory

In the future, I suggest you make a v-cut or half-moon on the bottom of the "back" piece, to give it two feet. Is more stable that way. I've made many of these. Far as I can tell, these were invented by the Boy Scouts a long time ago, and called (as you mentioned) "Stargazers".
