That looks delicious.. it looked like tomato sauce.. I thought paste is much more thicker . I just want to be sure before I try this recipe. Help please, I’d love to make this for my family. I know sometimes in the states we use different terminology for things so I just want to be sure.

Oh yes it looks like tomato sauce but it’s tomato paste. This brand has a lighter consistency though it thickens up when refrigerated but I had just opened the jar. I hope you try it and your family enjoys. Enjoy the rest of your week. Thank you ❤️

I love the home cooking of South Sudanese and Sudanese people. I miss home a lot. The Sudanese and South Sudanese communities in the diaspora are the only ones without restaurants.

You have a lovely soothing voice to listen to .. its also very calming and very clearly spoken🥰. Just wish to share a small suggestion - plastics are dangerous for the body, it's best to use natural materials epecially when dealing with hot food, oily food, spicy food, acidic food, etc. Best to avoid plastics and switch back to glass, clay, safe metals, etc. Much love.

@asedoskitchen

Yes, you can use your choice of red meat (beef,goat). However, please note that beef takes longer to cook than lamb, so you may need to adjust the cooking time to ensure you’re not left with tough meat.

Hi. I am not very familiar with African languages, but I recognise the word "junjaro" as "kidney beans". What language does the word "junjaro" come from, exactly?
@asedoskitchen
@asedoskitchen 2 ай бұрын
Hello, I grew up calling beans janjaro (janjara) so I assume it’s a Dinka (one of South Sudan’s languages) word for beans in general (kidney beans, pinto beans etc) I stand to be corrected on this because I’m not sure of the origins of the word.
@Dark_Interloper
@Dark_Interloper Ай бұрын
@@asedoskitchen Interesting. My grandfather was born and raised in Uganda, so he knew Swahili. As a result, his family would use a lot of Swahili words when they spoke their native language (Gujarati, an Indian language). One of them seems to have been "junjaro" for kidney beans, but it was never clear to me. I looked it up, but couldn't find much detail about it. But your video came up, so I got curious.
@asedoskitchen
@asedoskitchen Ай бұрын
@ it’s not a Swahili word. However, since your grandfather was born and raised in Uganda, he might have picked it up from either South Sudanese or Ugandans. There are some tribes that are found across both countries, for example, the Acholi, so it might be a common language amongst them.
