I said the same thing before I started exploring the outdoors this year. All it takes is a backpack with your favorite food, cooking stove, hiking shoe’s and a trail with amazing views 🙂

In very rare circumstances the wind through fir trees can sound like human voices. I've heard it myself; it's uncannily close but if you stop & listen there are no actual words just a sort of almost birdlike twittering. Something to do with the mases of pine needles p'haps, like the reeds in woodwind instruments.. I assume this is what may have enhanced belief in the 'Little People' in the old days when folks lived much closer to nature. Obviously not to be found in a burned forest!

No, and I should. The last town before driving into the forest was all out of bear mace and had to go without it. My previous hikes I also didn’t carry any. I will be prepared next time!
