I have that now, lumbar L4, L5. Shots Do Not Work. Nor Tramadol & Tylenol. I’m tired of no life, drugs’ side effects, constant pain; no cartilage R knee, chronic bursitis in L hip. I’m ready for the knife. Back, then knee I hope.

Hi Dr. Melamed I suffered a back injury last year and had an MRI done, the diagnosis was an L5-S1 disc herniation and bilateral pars fracture. After that I consulted 6 doctors of which 3 told me that I don’t have the fracture and the rest told me that I do have the fracture. So not sure what causes the symptoms that I have.

No. This used to be true many years ago however, now with advancements in technology and Biologics patients all the way to the middle age can get the same exact surgery done assuming their anatomy is comparable and is conducive to this type of surgery.

Currently dealing with moderate disc osteophyte complex on my C5-6 causing moderate foraminal narrowing on the left and mild impingement on my cord. Got the numbness, neck pain and even have had headaches everyday since it started 5 month's ago. Conservative treatments arent really working and hoping to meet more specialists to discuss my options. I live in Canada so it's quite a wait to see one. But this video gives me hope. Glad to know there are solutions even if it is surgery

Amazing story I had my first back surgery for years ago my second one two years ago and that one put me in a wheelchair and I have cancer of course so that doesn’t help anything at all, but it’s kidney cancer and managed but at the same time I now have a third disc that’s bolting out like a knot on my back and Intense pain of course I’ve been on Pain Management for almost 5 years as well due to the severe pain in my back. I am totally blind and doctors. Don’t wanna help me. I don’t know if it’s Medicare. I don’t really understand but they tell me my cases, too complicated and that There are fear of infections and all these excuses, but they don’t help me when you are totally blind you can’t even reach out to people. I can watch the video and tell you my comment, but it doesn’t get me any help and I’m stuck in a system that feels like they know it all and breaking out of that system in Richmond, Virginia when you are on disability and Medicare, and when you are disabled and can only depend on certain people to help you, I don’t have family or anyone it is just me and at 50 years old I can barely keep my apartment clean and get people to help me. I survive on milk and I have lived on milk for almost 19 months no solid foods because of the nausea and of course, all of these things I’m sure some of our attributed to the pain medications which I have managed well however, there’s still a part of my life. I don’t think this misery has any into it at all. I almost wonder if they did all of this just to make my life hell 4:45 4:45 4:45 4:45 4:45 I really don’t remember what I’m supposed to feel like as a normal person anymore or what normal feels like at all. I would be lucky if I ever worked again but I would love to have some of my life back. My wife died five years ago and I feel like I must’ve died with her because I’ve done nothing but have surgeries from kidney surgery to back surgeries, and they just seems to be no end. Just wanna walk around and touch trees and feel normal. At least as normal as I can with my disability I’m not trying to complain. I’m trying to stay the fact this is one case of so many of us who are overlooked I’m not trying to. I’m just saying I’m willing to give that a try and try to be understanding, but I wish there were people out here more spine pros who were really out here available to people like me, because even if you told me to come to you and see you because how would I get there? I can’t drive and I am blind in wheelchair plans truly I think they’re just gonna keep pushing pills at me and sending me home because of risk or whatever other excuse, I don’t even understand the excuses anymore.

Don’t get too excited I had microdiscectomy L4/L5 large herniated disc. Yes the surgery worked, I had 11 years pain free, but sciatic pain is back and will not respond to treatment. My doctor was very uninvolved and I had no idea I should be doing things to prevent this is from coming back. Well looks like it is a chronic issue now and I may have to live with this the rest of my life. Should I choose to live. To anyone out there become your own doctor, you’ll be much better off and do your research. Healthcare in Canada is so poor now and you can’t even pay for a private MRI anymore. Huge waits, lack of machines and doctors here.

There's nothing wrong with "a big line down my back...." I have one. I also have another "big line" going from my right shoulder, to beneath my right breast, as well as a scar from my chest tube.... Her statement is quite a rude and insensitive.... "Know your audience..." You should EXPECT people who have had "big lines" from back surgery (such as myself) to come to this video. And then you're gonna say junk, like that....? K. My scars make me who I am, today, idgaf if you apparently think they're ugly. I find your lack of filter ugly... I'm sure I'm not the only person with "big lines" who has watched this video and was offended - I'm just the first to say something.

I have double Pars and been living with it for 30 years waiting for surgery to improve. I do core stability exercises, keep fit and still have issues. One thing that seems to help is sleeping on my back with a pillow under my hamstrings. I think it curls my tailbone / L5 S1 vertibrae in towards my stomach and opens up the disc allowing any inflammation to go down. Anyway it seems to help.

I would do anything to be able to not have to use narcotics I have been on 20mg oxycodone since 2021😢I find myself looking at regular everyday people and thinking look at them probably doesn't have to take anything for pain or 🤷🏿‍♀️sometimes I wonder if I can have a normal life again and pain-free and enjoying life because right now I only exist because this isn't living for the last 3 years I have had to stay at home in pain in the bed i can't even go to the grocery store because I walk like a toddler and its not promised that you will get a buggy to shop with i can't cook anymore because i don't have any hand strength to chop and dice and I love love to cook I wish I could travel to see my grandmother who is 93 and in better shape than me and my grandmother had 14 children and has over 200 grandchildren ❤me I'm trying to get my life on track 😢I just got out of a 26 year very very abusive relationship that's where my story of surgery began i believe it was bad on my neck from the choking he would do honestly and after one of my fusion surgery my ex slapped me sooooooo hard that he damaged my hardware and I had to get my hardware replaced 😢and it's been downhill ever since 😢 but thank God that I'm not with him anymore 🎉🎉😊but now I have this problem 🤦🏿‍♀️I'm only 50 years old I would love to be happy in some parts of my life 😊I wasn't allowed to learn how to drive when I was with my ex because I was only 18 when I met him so he controlled my whole life but not anymore 😂😂😂 and when I get my life back that's one of the first things that I want to do is to learn how to drive 😂😂😂💯💯💯
