I always loved this version. And it has nods to the Jim Carrey version, too, the QUINTESSENTIAL Grinch. That little "Just face the music" is specifically Jim Carrey's Grinch and I LOVE it. Jordan has good taste in Christmas movies.

Thanks Harley! Jim Carrey was my favorite and the funniest Grinch that I’ve seen and this version of the song had so many transitions that I loved. I may need to update it for next Christmas. Glad you liked it!

@RubycDrummer Hi Ruby! This one is different in its own way, but it’s very fun playing holiday songs outside the norm. This was a song that has been performed in my army band at our holiday concerts and it was one I always wanted to perform on my own. @@RichRawDawgdrums This was a brand new one that came from Yellowcard and they were featured in a Disney compilation that has them along with a dozen other alternative rock bands doing Disney songs. Who would’ve thought that bands like Yellowcard could rock out to Disney? I’m sure Walt Disney would be proud!

I love watching drummers put their spin on stuff, they don’t get enough credit as musicians. He’s clearly a cymbal fan but used them perfectly and leans on the toms to set the tone matching the song. He knew the assignment

Bob really did the band right with the work he did while he was MCR’s drummer. My wife and I are big fans of the band and I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bob Bryar’s passing. May he rest in peace 🪦

@@Spagz I honestly don’t know what a Gruv-X is, but I put some reverb on my snare which is a Mapex Steel Hammered Drum and the cross stick sound on it is awesome. I like getting that sound out of steel snare drums.

@chrisbates3117 oh ok cool! Sounded great. The Gruv-X is a piece of wood that volts to two of the snare tension rods and sits up higher than the rim. Gives a nice sound. It can be wood or bronze I believe.
