I used a Ulanzi OA-14 Housing Cage for the camera, and attached a GoPro Mount Buckle to mount it on the helmet! 💪🏽

hey bro! personally i feel the new stage 1s handle better but they feel heavier so timings are a bit slower. In my fastest laps so far, when i got some clean laps, i was about 2s off my timings compared to that of the old stage 1s. Spoke to the staff there and they said they feel the same also. Maybe see what you think the next time you drop by!

Or maybe i just need more practice with the new karts also hahaha

Where do you mount your go pro? Do you suggest mounting on the chest?

⁠@@Carson0576would definitely recommend mounting on our helmets! Allows a good balance between showing our steering and also the circuit ahead. I find chest mounting might risk the footage showing too much of the steering wheel and not much on the view of the circuit or what’s ahead, unless that is what you’re going for! Hope this helps 😊

@@FRKarting Well because i dont own a helmet, so I think mounting on a rental helmet is a bit hard for me

@@Carson0576same here, I don’t have a helmet either! are you using a standard go pro joint mount on your cam? If yes, most of the rental places I’ve been to have some helmets fitted with the GoPro mounts. Alternatively, i usually bring along a helmet strap mount just in case, though it’s a bit risky cause it’s not as secure in my opinion

It has a sequential gearbox, so there’s a lever on the right side where you pull to up-shift and push to down-shift. Interestingly, there is no indicator to show which gear you’re on so I had to mentally keep track to make sure I’m on the right gear at the turns! But you’ll get the hang of it after a few rounds 😊 Yes, it is actually a requirement to know how to drive manual transmission and the organisers will check your licenses!

Hello! Oh we were not allowed to bring GoPros along so we were given an option to pay for the onboard footage. You will find the option to include onboard footage, which costs 200AED when i went, when you make the bookings :) Personally, I was happy with the quality of the footage and i liked the additional graphics (like the circuit layout on the top left) so i would definitely recommend it.
