Splendid moody blue garage tune. Reminds me of many bands within the genre as for example Gants, Enfields, Grodes, Beefeaters ( early Birds) etc...a typical Mid Sixties midtempo ballad ...great choice again !

Thanks! This Barons band put out several other killer records, a lot of them featured in the Fort Worth Teen Scene series LPs on Norton Records, I think you'll like them as well! Check "Don't Burn It", "Live And Die", "Without Her"...

@achillebrunet6023 i have these comps, yes I agree splendid comps and certainly I know the Barons though I think there are more Garage combos with that name but i think we meant the same great Barons , the same which has recorded for example " Don't Burn It". I am a collector since decades like you and also was an active garage band member in many Garage bands...Let's rock it until the house crumbles down Achille hehe...so long

Love that twangy start. What jubulant jumper. It has West Coast L.A. sunshine pop appeal. Maybe a wee bit like The Monkees. There is a California connection with Gil Music Corp being based in Van Nuys. I'm not saying they were from CA. Ken Sonenberg from The Savages of NY is a good clue. Achille, would you ever record anything and not put your name/bands name on the acetate? Ha ha, I know you wouldn't. I would want to be credited for my work, my creation. There are many mystery bands out there.

I saw the record label and assumed you posted some obscure UK band on a UK label. NOT THE CASE!! I was fooled by the look alike label. Man, this is incredible original material. What an awesome two-sider. It sounds like you've been running on flower power for many years. If you traveled back in time to let's say 1967, you would have had a hit on your hands with this record. It's a hit with me in 2024. You made this with your friend? You guys are a two man "wrecking crew" The Wrecking Crew from L.A. were some of the finest studio musicians ever assembled. Have you heard of Gold Star Studios in Hollywood, CA? ☮️ AB

Thank you so much Thomas! Yes haha that's the trick, I took an old UK Fontana label as a model XD Wow, the Wrecking Crew, that's too much! Yes definitely 1967-ish, some psych, a little "wall of sound", you know :) So many good stuff out of Gold Star Studios!!

@@achillebrunet6023 Gold Star"s echo chamber. Phil Spector"s wall of sound. Drummer of the "crew", Hal Blaine, is the most recorded drummer in R&R history. He was behind the kit on 140-150 top ten hits including about 40 #1hits. He claimed to have recorded 4000 tracks. What a career. What a life. 🥁 RIP Hal Blaine
