Overall a fine review that i agree with. The setting is largely meant to be a toolbox and the system presented in CofD core is largely there to be a backdrop to the important stuff: the splatbooks, because no one wants to play a stinky mortal when you can play stinky mortal who can warp reality or turn into a spirit-wolf-thing (or if you really want to play a stinky mortal there's always Hunter: the Vigil). Splatbooks really are the meat on the bones of base CofD, which btw had one of its main goals being working cross-splat play (which required a shitton of elbow grease in oWoD) and it kinda delivers on that.

CofD mentioned. Edit: 2:43. Wdym Cofd/WoD and Cyberpunk have very different dice mechanics. You roll a d10 in both yes, but in cyberpynk you just add static modifiers to it, while in CofD you roll *more* d10s, and count the successses on each one. Firearms 5 is 1d10+5 in Cyberounk and 5d10 in CofD

UNFORTUNATELY Most of this video is already out of date literally the DAY AFTER I MADE IT!!! There's 4 Detachments, one for those 3 Inquisitions, and another for Imperial Navy. They ARE removing Deathwatch entirely, leaving ONLY 4 units, one of which is Deathwatch Veterans, two being their special characters, and the last being a DAMN PLANE UNIT, which might be getting the Dedicated Transport treatment? Kill Teams are being Legends, and so is Kill Team Cassius, which isn't an old model set? And I literally just bought it. The Black Spear Task Force Detachment is being combined with the Ordo Xenos. Those Space Marines MIGHT also be losing their Oath of Moment, so... What's the point of bringing them?

So for the reroll in regards to rolling and then choosing ro reroll, you can't use a fate dice, because instead of rolling you use a fate dice so you have to declare use of it before you roll

David first of all your title is misleading. I can see you are talkinng about 4th edition Warhammer. I'd never call THAT "The Original Warhammer". Now Im gonna vent. I. Fucking. HATE. This edition. It was clearly D&D-fied to appeal to the fucking normies and for some fucking ungodly reason IT WORKED. The game upright PUNISHES you if you DARE to have an idea of who you would like to play as! Who the fuck thought that is a great idea? Oh the dice said you will play a peasent rat catcher, you dont like it? Sure you can choose who you want to be but then yopu wont get starting XP! Also in 2nd edition there were ways any character chould eventually have any career. There were like 3 paths for my noble to become a witch hunter. In 4th edition? Forget about it. Literally everything is worse in 4th edition. I hate it with a burning passion as because of it nobody wants to play 2nd edition anymore. Now that you say a new edition is coming along gives me a small glimer of hope. I can only pray they basically go back to 2nd edition rules with logical fixes that edition needed and could fit on a 3 page document.

Savage worlds is my favorite system. And i have played it for years. Just the perfect balace between rules and roleplay. I disagree with some points you made on the video but its still a great video.

FW was suposed tyo be high level premium stuff. Perhaps it once was. I cant tell since i started the hobby back in 2011 and even back then FW seemed like a scam with crap sculpts and shit resin used for 4x the price.

Shame games workshop hates 3d printing

Its definitley a game for advanced RPG players. Liike during character creation I think you can also invent your master and a thrall. It was too overwhelming for me to come up on the spot with two additional NPC's so I took the trait that i was abandoned by my creator and simply didnt bother with making a thrall for myself.
