This was on par with Russell Mulcahy's "Crank up the whites and burn everything out" philosophy. I wonder if he directed this video, but the overdriven whites were a cliche in early MTV videos.

Ringo obviously was still feeling the emotional roller coaster ride and mourning of Lennon and Keith Moon.

Ringo "Let's sit down" John "Do I say 'Ringo' or 'Richard' " Ringo "You can say 'Ringo' " John "Do your close friends call you 'Richard'?" Ringo: "Yes" ................"Which one are we on"...........................…...............,........... .......David "Ringo, this is obviously not going to be a normal interview" Ringo was absolutely hammered

The stones were just being silly, particularly Keith Richards when he referred to The Beatles as a four-headed monster, it was really three-headed and Ringo, oh, Ringo... There's a reason why Paul McCartney wrote about "Ringo" being out of "tune" on "With a Little Help from My Friends" because the man could not sing in tune and there is the inferiority complex and a subsequent drunken expedition on the John Davidson show, of all things....

See all he needed was a nice American woman. Sometimes the differences in culture help. All Beatles married American women (apart from John.) All British wives failed (Cynthia, Maureen, Patti, Heather)

She was more than a sex symbol, Mr. Salinger! She's got an incredible range, pacing, timing ... she knows how to rock the hell out of a song. Her timing with Clem Burke, the drummer, is impeccable. Damn, what an idiot you were Mr. Salinger

I remember reading the reviews of this flick. Film and theatrical critics care less about a status of rock star, but Roger won them over and was able to establish himself and be recognize as a great actor. He’s like the UK version of our Kris Kristherson. Man, could anyone imagine a movie collaboration with them both?
