Just got done working on a 02 escape 3.0. The 90 degree elbow is a known issue on the valve cover. There’s a replacement by Dorman pn# 46017 and can be purchased at an Oriley auto. I had the same collapsed 90 in the back and also replaced it with my pack rat hoses. My bank 2 sensor 2 was reading 0 volts so I replaced it only to find from running bank 1 sensor 2 went also. I cleaned the MAF sensor then reset the KAM memory so I could start with a clean learn. Once started, the engine ran beautifully and both short term and long term looked good. Now just have a PO1000 but that will take a little time driving the car. Really good video and hope to see the repair of the broken intake bolt!

I have almost the same issues going on with my 2007 ram 3500 and I have the same readings with identical can high and low voltage so I think mine is shorted out together too causing no communications between networks and I think that’s not allowing me to erase codes and I think I need my tipm reprogrammed. I have a similar tipm vehicle mismatch codes and a lot of other codes and parasitic draw. I have tried erasing and I think because there’s no communication with the can bus and I’m curious to see part 2.. I got my truck started but now it throwing a fuel level sensor circuit high and open codes and there’s no fuel pump relay so I’m trying to find a solution to bypass that internal relay and I haven’t found a solution. Electrical is the worst

WARNING - If you want to retain anything more than basic features then you will have to pay $50 / £30 EVERY YEAR! Otherwise it essentially becomes a basic scanner which could be bought for less than $20. To make things worse, some sellers are saying that just updates stop unless you renew the $50 subscription - this would obviously mean you can continue to use it as is, but you can't! So in just 5 years this is going to cost you $250. The product is fairly good (has some faults most of which got resolved over the months but not a major one I found) and if you make good use of it then $50 each year is not bad, as long as you know this and hance are not misled.

@@MarkS61 either way. Paying a mechanic with the proper tooling to diagnose your vehicles will be far more expensive than $50 an year. For a home mechanic this is the exact tool you need. Not a $1000 scan tool. If all you are doing is light maintenance and looking for codes and data this tool is great. Pretty much all scan tools have a yearly sub fee. The R&D that goes into the updates you get for the Fee is mind blowing and very time/labor intensive to keep these tools updated and able to keep up with modern technology. If you are looking for a basic code reader, there are lots out there that don't need updates.
@MarkS6128 күн бұрын
@@BigDogDiagnosticsI've gotten by pretty well with a $25 usb elm dongle and free Torque Lite app. Later i switched to the free Car Scanner app, which I think is better. The main thing I was missing with those was any bidirectional control, which I need/want infrequently. I can see not getting updates without a subscription, but removing almost all functionality doesn't sit well with me. I still *might* renew. I haven't decided yet. I like the tool.
@darrenadams264028 күн бұрын
@@MarkS61 100% agree - I was stung by this as well as it is not made clear that the main manufacturer level diags is totally lost after 12 months unless you pay $50 EVERY YEAR! I was told that just updates would stop which I understood why and was happy with. THAT'S A SCAM BY ANYONE'S BOOKS! Either way, I would have stuck with my $20 no-subscription generic reader had I know that I would have to essentially buy a new TopScan EVERY YEAR.

It also has a locked seal to ensure a tight fit. I had to re-thread the adapter. I honestly can’t remember exactly what all I did. Or what the thread is on the PS 16. But if you Google it, it will come up. But I remember I had to, reread it because here in the states we don’t use any fittings with those threads. I believe I used a spark plug re-threading tool. @CardelliFamof82 ай бұрын
You have to replace all the seals, the valve tube seal is under, and hard to remove even with the valve covers off. So to get to this point you might as well have all the gaskets for the air intake area, and the valve covers. Should do a valve adjustment too.
