Videos from people who use plastic ramps.....
@koaticus11 күн бұрын
help me learn from their mistakes. (just finishing your sentence) My videos are to help the home wrencher that doesn't have expensive tools and would rather spend their money on parts then spend the money on labor. But you right those ramps were crap and I have since built my own.

Nice video. Let us know if you see any difference with the acuity hoses. I’m really thinking about making a purchase for them
@koaticusАй бұрын
unfortunately, the only log data I have to compare to is from a track day this summer when temp was 95 degrees. will log data next summer at track when I am pushing the car to take the ambient temp variable out of the comparison. comparing any data now will definitely skew in favor of the hoses performance.
@jwinter228Ай бұрын
thanks for the videos... what do you think are the best mods for a bit more performance and sound? I'm putting mine away for the winter so I think it's time to play with it a bit.
@jwinter228Ай бұрын
Thanks for the video. How is it 6 months later? This is what I’m looking for generally- no tune but fairly big power gains and minimal impact to exhaust sound.
@koaticusАй бұрын
TSP downpipe, Charge pipes, front pipe, intercooler and HVI will net you the biggest no tune gains. TSP downpipe does NOT require a tune and will not throw codes without tune. Other DP's require tune to disable secondary O2 sensor or will throw codes.

curious about something, if the prl tsp downpipe, if they give you an option to retain the oem heat shield, why can't someone use both ptp blanket and the oem heat shield on top of that
@koaticusАй бұрын
Yes, you can use the OEM heat shields with the TSP downpipe. Blanket is made to be tight to keep the heat from escaping. The shield is offset by design so you can choose to use on or the other but not both

Just curious why after doing the 2 pulls in sport mode why you didnt do 2 pulls in sport + to see if theres a difference in the 2 modes?
@koaticus4 ай бұрын
Once you do a pull on the dyno the ECU freaks out even with traction control and you can no longer change modes without the ECU going back to normal which requires normal driving for a few minutes and then cycling the ignition. Also, what I have found out is the mode does not make a difference on the dyno because the torque request is the same between modes at 100% throttle so they will both show same HP.

if you watch the AHC Garage installation of the PRL intercooler, I believe they move that sensor to make room

Nice to see a company make a preassembled unit rather than one the customer has to assemble and glue together. I actually don't dislike factory look for the tanks, the problem is that they all start looking like crap after the plastics start to deteriorate. Good upgrade!

Nice addition. Which oil catch can did you buy? I see several versions on their website. Does the catch can seem easy to remove to service? Have you had any issues with the OCC since you installed it? Thanks

I wonder how does this add more horsepower? I’m considering on getting one of these for mine as well
@koaticus7 ай бұрын
The pipes themselves are bigger in diameter for more airflow and also all aluminum which keeps a more consistant pressure that flexible silicon hoses.. Think it was half inch difference on both sides. I measure them in the install vid I did.
@integra_gang7 ай бұрын
Very amazed considering its stock ecu! How much of a difference is the exhaust note from stock?

Sub'd! Super helpful info. This is basically all i plan to do with my DE5. Love that you back it up with before/after dyno's too. Kinda suprised you dont need a tune for intake/exhaust bolt-ons. My last car was a stage 2 GTI...CELs all day without a flash.
@koaticus7 ай бұрын
Thats specifically why I went with TSP catted DP. other AM DP's throw CEL's because of secondary O2 and the way the ECU needs closed loop for proper dynamic values wanted all sensors working correctly.
@zacgiza23527 ай бұрын
Love the videos - super helpful. Will note for anyone else following - you can fit the bolt into the rear motor mount without taking off the pipe if it’s the stock front pipe. There’s an indent in the heat shield to where it can barely squeeze in and out with some play and the right angle.
@koaticus7 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's actually what messed me up because I noticed the right side of the bolt hole is a slot to slide the bolt up into it so didn't think it would have to go in first. PRL DP was too thick for the bolt to slide up so that will only work if you keep stock DP while changing RMM
@JohnNguyenVincent8 ай бұрын
thats huge gains without a tune! Keep on making that content!
@Fishhunter0078 ай бұрын
Impressive and nice video. How much impact did these upgrades impact your MPG? Did your first upgrade with the larger intercooler cause any turbo lag? Still no CEL?
@koaticus8 ай бұрын
No CEL with any of the bolt-ons I have installed. No change in turbo lag until the DP and FP install and the lag noticeably decreased.
@Fishhunter0077 ай бұрын
Thank you Good to know. So you actually decreased the turbo lag with the DP and FP. I would have thought with a larger inter cooler, that would cause more delay in turbo boost. Nice job
