I finished another book by Anne Perry a few days ago. It was about (if you’ve read a Pitt novel you know the first name) Jemima having to find her friend Phinnie’s mother. Phinnie’s hated her mother all her life and Jemima brings them together after a long time.. and she’s accused of having killed the mother. (She never did ofc) The way she brings Phinnie and her mother together is so beautiful, fr. The whole book feels like an apology to everyone and herself.. The way their looks are described also remind you of Pauline and Juliet.. I don’t think that if you’d asked her she would’ve admitted anything of that but it’s obvious Such a beautiful edit omg <3

This association is so good, for a minute I thought this song was actually part of the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack, and it's such a disappointment that it's not. The dynamic between the three main characters, the arcade/cartoonish aesthetic, the school/snow setting and the scenes' imagery create a unique 90s/y2k atmosphere that totally matches the vibe of the song, it's just such a perfect idea :)
