I'm with you there, the .30-06 is a true classic but the rest of the family is excellent as well.

The FG knot is a really good knot. I don't use it that much, but thanks for the tip. I know come this summer I will have to use it more.

@ChrisandKrisOutdoors I'm excited to keep the Ole 06 going. Excellent performance getting 3000 fps on my chronograph with an SD of 4. Should be very consistent.

@SWMissouriOutdoors oh yeah I love the 30-06 it's funny how so many people think it's outdated i want to see this round still in use when I'm old 😆 I like it for some of the longer range shots as well definitely my go to for the zombie apocalypse 😆

@ChrisandKrisOutdoors For sure. That's on cartridge as you said, you will always find ammunition for. And as a handloader you can do so many things with it. Light cast bullets loads at 1500fps. Heavy 220gr bullets for massive stopping power and anything in between. I'll have some videos of my progress up soon hopefully.

@ChrisandKrisOutdoors it's becoming one. My father purchased it back in the early 90's. It's an Infield from WW1 that was sporterized in the 80's. I still hold a 3-4 inch group at 400 yds.
