Very edifying message. Yes I agree that singing and making melodies to God should be done in a more happy and meaningful way. Song leaders should not always be looking down on the hymn book trying to lead Song. They should should be leading with joy and enthusiasm praising God, while facing the congregation, when it's a joyful song.

I thought I went through the whole old Testament. But I can't remember when I went through the Book of Nehemia and I guess I left out also some of the other books. But because of such studies like you do, they are getting very interesting! Thank you for covering Nehemia.

Thank you for watching, and we hope that you'll be back to watch the end of Nehemiah this week (we will conclude the book on December 20th). Our series so far has run from Genesis through Nehemiah, and we will begin Esther no too long after the New Year. All of our lessons can be found at kzbin.info if you're interested in watching more.

23. Of Heli. ) The reconciliation of Matthew and Luke in our Sauiours pedegree. Whereas in S. Matthew, Iacob is father to Ioseph, and here Heli, the case was thus. Mathan (named in S. Matthew) of his wife called Escha begat Iacob: and after his death, Melchi (named here in S. Luke) of the same woman begat Heli: so that Iacob and Heli were brethren of one mother. This Heli therfore marying and dying without issue: Iacob his brother, according to the Law married his wife, and begat Ioseph, and so raised vp seed to his brother Heli. Whereby it came to passe, that Iacob was the natural father of Ioseph which as (S. Matthew saith) begat him: and Heli was his legal father according to the Law, as S. Luke signifieth. Euseb. li. 1 Ec. Hist. c. 7 Hiero. in c. 1 Mat. Aug. li. 2 c. 2. 3 de cons. Euang.

Thank you for responding. Yes, we are aware that this is one of the possible reconciliations of Matthew's and Luke's differing genealogies as is pointed out in the podcast, and in our podcast of Matthew 1. However, the reason we take this as being the genealogy of Mary is because much of the first section of Luke is told from her perspective, and Luke taking the genealogy all the way back to Adam and Eve, signifying that Jesus was of the seed of woman, which was the promise to Eve (Jesus was human as well as divine). However, both of us agree on Luke's main point: Jesus was of the house of David, so which ever solution is true, both get us to the same place (and the scripture is correct), which is what is important.

We're thankful that you found this lesson useful and edifying in your studies. And we're also thankful for your concern about the health of our speaker. Our speaker's health is doing fine, however, he has a few members of his family that are heavily immunocompromised and catch all sorts of sicknesses that are going around. Therefore to reduce the risk of him catching any of these diseases and passing it on to his family when he is around them unmasked, he chooses to wear a mask where there will be large gatherings of people indoors. We hope this answers your question.

Where did he go after death?
@EastEndChurchofChrist

If you're asking a Heaven or Hell question, that is not for me to answer. If the man repented before being stoned (even though he was going to be sentenced to death for his crime), God could spiritually forgive the man. In this case, he would be saved. If however, the man remained defiant, then the man would die in his sins and would not be saved. The text doesn't say, and so that decision will be left to God. We hope this answers your question.

We agree that God's original design was for man to obey Him and not sin, however, He gave us freewill, meaning that we had the choice to sin. God however had a plan of salvation through faithful obedience to Jesus. The final reward of the faithful will be eternal life with God in Heaven, so let's be faithful to God and obey His word found in the Bible. Just as a side note, we're not going to post the second comment you posted because it was the same as this one. This channel is moderated due to some people posting bad language and generally trolling. So if you don't see your comment immediately, we have seen it and there's no need to try and post the same comment again.

Thanks for the edifying leason. NT teaches us to not be unequally yoked. Similar principle as to keep us from straying from serving God. Not a race thing but a Christian thing as a non believing spouse can sway us from serving God. Having said that, by our example we can win over our spouse to Christ but it is not easy to do.
@EastEndChurchofChrist
@EastEndChurchofChrist Ай бұрын
Not being unequally yoked is not talking specifically about marriage, however we understand the point you're trying to make. It is not sinful to marry someone who is not a Christian, however it is not wise either. We must understand what we're doing going in and meet our responsibilities in Christ (and yes, try to save our spouse in the process).
@kalacroft9618

Great lesson. Yes we should be concerned about who we should marry as Christians because it could cost us our salvation by their influence spiritually.
