This is Bambangan Cakil or Perang Kembang (Battle of the flower / battle of pageantry) dance, it's based on Javanese shadow puppet story of Mahabharata, It tells about Arjuna (one of the Pandava) went to meditate, but was teased by "Cakil" one kind of giant. After a long battle, Arjuna could defeat the giant afterwards. Arjuna is always potrayed slowly in movements, in contrast against Cakil that is barbaric and always energic. This symbolizes that every problems must be solved with careful manners and calmy, thus all calamities or problems can be passed without any burdens. This is one of many difficult dance because the sharp contrast of the movements, and also the movements of the Cakil giant must be really energetic, so its a tiring for the Cakil giant role... Great Javanese dance, love Thai people. From Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

@@blackmoth2595 I hope so. Lyrics of Thai classical song for Khon are quite difficult even for thai people to understand clearly. 😅
