They are fantastic great entertainers .. Billy has a brilliant voice. Well worth going a seeing these guys.. Romeo on the Drums is the only member from the original band. Dave Bartram the original lead singer from the 70s is the manager of this new line up.

They are a new line up they are fantastic , Romeo is the only member from the band.. the lead singer from the 70s is the Manager of this new Showaddy waddy band.

Well played…. but this is not the real showaddywaddy as we know it. That will forever be just the original 8 …Dave,, Buddy, Malc,( the duke) Al, , Trevor, Rod, Russ and Romeo.

They're good no doubt. Andy and boys do Rock n Roll great. Don't compare to the original band they have evolved and done it well. Saw the original band in 1977 Wow👌 seen these guys twice and going to again soon. The songs remain the same as ever bring it on🎵🎵🎵🎵

I saw the original band back in the early 80s at The Pink Coconut in Derby, they were awesome with such vibrant energy with their dance moves whilst still sounding great vocally

The only question really is…. How boring was that? I saw Showaddywaddy live many times in their heyday and they put on an awesome show. This is just a sad shadow of what they used to be

The latest incarnation is fresh and full of fun. I have to say new blood has injected a new lease of life into them. This show is not as good as 2022 line up.

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised!! I'm a fan from original line up and they are a tight band here. Not like Slade now it's just Dave Hill. Drastic line up changes do sometimes work, I like the latest Sweet line up with a great newish lead singer 💖💖👍👌

Cripes, while Romeo goes on, the pale imitation by whoever those people are after everyone else retired just serves to remind us all how fantastic they were and very little else.

Loved the band since seeing them live before New Faces success, but am afraid since lost Buddy and Dave's vocals have never been the same for me, their voices where such a great mix

I saw them twice in 2020 at Yeadon Town Hall and Whitley Bay Playhouse before the pandemic stopped concerts. I can't wait for the next one (in September all being well)

@@JODIMAR45 Well many of the original members have retired due to age or ill health - two are no longer with us. Romeo is still there, the original singer Dave Bartram remains the manager and personally selects the band members, and they play a two hour set to packed houses - I don`t see your problem?

These guys tour the length and breadth of the country constantly every year. Must be hard for them and others to be 'grounded' so to speak during this crazy year.

Ob SWW bewusst von ihren US-Kollegen, die ja schon vor ihnen existierten, weiß ich nicht. Aber eine Sha Na Na-Kopie waren und sind sie definitiv nicht. Sha Na Na hat von Beginn an eine reine Cover-Show aufgezogen. Bei SWW war anders, die haben anfangs sogar mehr Eigenkompositionen als Cover-Versionen gespielt. Die ersten vier Singles waren alles Eigenkompositionen. 1975 wurde zum ersten Mal zwei Cover (Three steps to heaven, Heartbeat) als Singles veröffentlicht. Es folgten dann wieder drei Eigenkompositionen. Da die aber nicht den Erfolg brachten wie die beiden Cover zuvor, die beide in den Top 10 landeten, wurde Ende 1976 mit Under the moon of love wieder ein Cover veröffentlicht, der dann einen Nr. 1-Hit brachte. Anschließend setzten dann die Produzenten "leider" nur noch auf Cover-Versionen von Hits aus den 50er/60er Jahren.
