Sorry, I'll have to decline. I don't write string/piano parts for level 0.5 band music since they won't be found in beginner band. It sounds more like you are looking for a string arrangement. The parts wouldn't function as a quartet anyway if an arrangement is what you were looking for

Went through the score, I think the 3rd trombone functions fine as a bass part

I don’t think the bass trombone needs to be playing under the staff every single piece or need to play unison/fight with the tuba, it is a tenor instrument in disguise as a bass after all. The trombones and tubas (+euph) in this piece function as a cohesive unit a lot, where there isn’t doubling, everyone has their own line, this is how it’s used in orchestra music too. If trombones were to constantly double the euph and no one with the tuba, I would justify a bass trombone part

I’ve decided I’m not going to write one for this piece. I thought about it, looked at some of Alfred Reed’s other works. I think it was tradition that 3rd trombone was bass trombone no matter what. I think I’m not going to touch pieces by people Reed and Holst but instead focus more on modern/new band music where composers don’t always have the bass in mind

It basically comes down to inexperience with the instrument. Saxes being the only woodwind I have not played. I do look to improve my writing with them though! I do have a smaller separate channel where I do marching band, jazz band, and orchestra (extraotherbandinstruments). If this is for something you will be performing, I’ll put priority on it

The trombone 3 part for The Inferno is meant for the bass trombone as it plays a lot with the tuba in octaves and even plays as low as D under the staff

Yes, but i feel that tenor clarinet is a better suited name, I will instead be giving the alto clarinet name to the basset horn

I plan on finishing all 4 movements to bass/contrabass woodwinds and then doing the same for alto/tenor instruments at some point

You're right, I didn't think about it at the time of making. Unfortunately, the file for it has corrupted and is now lost. Maybe sometime in the future I'll get to re-do it
