Got a dui last year just went through the plea agreement and finalized going to go try to get waivers after fines and interlock is over hopefully I can. Made the mistake out of high school of saying had asthma that was pretty bad when I lived in WA then moved to AZ and never had issues but hopefully I can get it waived through since its first offense and misdemeanor charge

Hey brother can you get in touch with me, would really like to explain my situation & why i know the military will be good for me.

FYI, the military goes off the arrest charges, NOT the final plea agreement , or probation agreement. So even if you had your charges reduced to a lower charge or a plea agreement or fine, the plea agreement is saying that you are in fact guilty of the original arresting charges but willing to avoid full jail or prison time by doing probation, programs, or fines/restitution. There is an official matrix i read from the navy that says. You can only have 1-2 major felony /serious level arrest charges and that is up to their discretion depending on the felony. Misdemeanor arrest charges also has a certain threshold between 1-3. Traffic violations i think its up to like 5-6. But keep in mind , its case by case. Long story short, do not look at your final sentencing as a reference. Look at the original arrest charges as the military doesnt care if the charges were reduced as a plea agreement. You are still guilty of all the original arrest charges.

Thank you for giving me hope, I hate hearing about how i ruined how future but never telling me how to do better and move past it.

Ik this is old but I have a felony that has gotten expunged for grand theft auto and 2 misdemeanors driving with no license and petty theft no more than 500… my recruiter has been working his ass off with me and is very confident I will be approved, on top of that I went to meps and passed the medial and asvab, this is for the baby btw. I have a interview with the hire ups on Thursday so I’ll lyk how it goes… but it’s all about praying and being confident and manifesting bc if your recruiter believes you can get in then believe it lol I’ll keep you posted but i enjoyed the vid :)

What if I told them at meps I have a clean record cause I thought my petite Larson charge was expunged but it wasn’t and it came up positive but my recruiter hit me back telling me to fill out and tell him what happened that day what are my chances of them passing my waver and joining

Ive talked to 2 recruiters in the past few years about my offenses and they have both told me it's not possible with my record. I'm unsure if they're just lazy and don't want to go through the process for me, or they just have no hope. People ask why I want to join so bad, and honestly, I don't have a reason, it's just something in my heart that keeps telling me that I need to serve. I'm going back on the hunt, looking for a recruiter who has wants to work with me no matter what. I won't stop until my waiver is sent up and I'm told no. Until a senior leader says no, I'm not stopping.

Hey man so I have 3 charges as well. The first is a marijuana possession charge when I was 17, was processed through a "teen court" All fines payed, no criminal charges. 2nd was for smoking Marijuana, a $100 ticket, no criminal record. 3rd was an accident was dui where I was driving home from my gfs house after having a drink or 2 and waiting an hour and I crashed into some dirt, cops found me with .05 in my system, was taken to jail, but released with no charges or conviction. I really want to serve my country but is there any hope with a record like this?
