This is wrong The original egg coffee was invented becase vietnam did not have readily available milk They did not have condensed milk It is egg yolk and palm sugar and sometimes a spirit like rum or vodka are added

This is not Vietnamese coffee..... that was regular milk, not condensed milk. Garbo.

good but as others have mentioned: a) it's not clear how big the scoop is, and b) you sort of skipped over the blooming phase, going from "add an ounce of water" to "fill it to the top"

Before ever hearing it? En-goo-yen. After meeting someone with the last name, they told me to just go with Wen. Now I hit it with the Nwen and and I feel like there's at least appreciation for me trying. Haha

I had a Vietnamese friend whose first name was Nguyen. She told me to call her Win because I butchered the pronunciation. I miss her. She was a precious little angel.

The Anglicized versions of the Vietnamese last name Nguyen are pronounced in the American English way as N’win and in the Australian English way as New-in, and another Anglicized version of it is pronounced in the British English way as New-in too! 🇺🇸 🇦🇺 🇬🇧

I grew up in Edmonton Alberta and I was taught knew-yin. Why do you add a w to the diacritic which obviously sounds like a y?

First of all, treat "Ng" as a single letter, learn how it sounds and you can perfectly pronounce Nguyen.

I love how Vietnamese businesses take the anglicize pronunciations and run with it. Like pho=for pronunciation turns into "Yes Soup Pho You", a local pho restaurant where I live.

To me, just as Americans debate whether to pronounce 'croissant' as 'kwah-sawnt' or 'kruh-sant,' while the French insist it should be 'kruh-sahnt,' the Vietnamese surname 'Nguyen'-the most common family name in Vietnam-has its origins in the Chinese character 阮, which was latinized over time. For centuries, this character was used by Vietnamese people, many of whom were descendants of South Chinese immigrants who brought the name with them. The most authentic pronunciation, therefore, aligns with 'jyun5,' reflecting how it was originally spoken by these South Chinese settlers in Cantonese.

Hello: I'm new to your channel. Actually I've just returned after a three week vacation in Vietnam and I'm craving the egg coffee. So... 1) where can I buy the coffee in the USA? 2) Where can I buy the coffee press you are using in your video? Many thanks, I look forward to hearing from you in the next days. Peace!

Would it help to alter the spelling to guide the person in best matching English sounds? No one wants to insult others as we pronounce names. But on the other hand we shouldn’t get too offended as people struggle. I lived in Vancouver for many years and got used to Japanese pronouncing it as Bankooba…hhhh. As it gets worked out we all become clearer… and that’s all we want, isn’t it. It’s a meeting of cultures…. And patience and understanding overcome all obstacles. 😊

Got my first order. It sucks. Terrible flavor. They do not except returns and if unsatisfied will not refund you or try to make it right. I have tried other coffee companies and they will either refund your money if not satisfied or will ship you another brew. Don’t buy
