নিঃসন্দেহে চমৎকার মুভি। কিন্তু জতুগৃহ গল্পের শতদল আর মাধুরী দুজনেই পরে অন্যত্র বিয়ে করেছিল। শতদলের দ্বিতীয় বউ সুধার কোন অস্তিত্বই মুভিতে নেই।

দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য যে আমি একজন বাংলাদেশী হিসেবে উস্তাদ খান বাবার নাম শুনিনি ।এদেশে সবাইকে আমি হারমোনিয়াম দিয়েই গান করতে শুনি তবে সেতার বা সরোদ বাদক গুটিকয়েক ছাড়া কেউ নেই। এমনকি আমি তো কখনো সেতার বা সরোদ বাজাতেও দেখিনি । এটাই আমাদের মতো তৃতীয় বিশ্বের দেশ গুলোর মানুষের অবস্থা । আমরা নিজেদের গর্ব কে সঠিকভাবে সম্মান না দিয়ে তাদের নিন্দা করতেই বেশি পছন্দ করি, যা এদেশের পূণ্যভুমিকে প্রতিনিয়ত ধ্বংসের দিকে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে।

এই অসাধারণ সিনেমার শেষ দৃশ্যের দুজনের ট্রেন যখন ছেড়ে দিল তখন একটা অভূতপূর্ব দৃশ্য ছিল দুই ট্রেনের দুই জানালার ধারে উত্তম অরুন্ধতী দুজনের দিকে অপলক দৃষ্টিতে তাকিয়ে ..... এই অপূর্ব দৃশ্য এখানে কেন কেটে দেওয়া হয়েছে বুঝতে পারলাম না।

i dont know why, but I found the short part from 16:18 to 16:19, where the sitar joined the sarod in the jhala, very melodious. The two notes merging seemed so beautiful. Anyhow, enjoyed the performance

as a young man in the countryside in the middle of America in 1967, the discovery of this recording unleashed a 56 year love of classical Indian music..this, with the World Pacific recordings, put a harmony in my heart..I still have the LP.....what a journey that unfolded from the initial experience......!

9:57 Please is there somebody out there who can point me towards the full version of Nikhil Bangerjee's breif clip. I've absolutely loved this short clip of his playing for over a decade and haven't been able to find the full version. Or at least a very similar recording with that same energy and amazing meend technique. I would be so grateful to finally find the entire recording
