This video is Useless. DevHub Sucks. Terrible instructions. Email changes in to a weird link. A 5 page manual of instructions and these crap / frustrating Videos? Really? Even if the changes are a few sentences and dimensions on (2) pages out of a set of 47 drawings. Drop Devhub like a hot rock. ProjectDox which the City already has is 1000% better.

What the heck does "Open" mean, after a permit has been reviewed, approved, issued and is under inspection?? It would be A LOT less confusing if the status window would only show which inspections are still "Required," or already "Approved." In other words, what purpose does it serve to present a list of all possible inspections options in the status window even when the majority of those inspections are irrelevant to the permit in question?

As often users will want to look up specific information in your videos, it would be nice if you provided a breakout of where specific information is found. For this video I recommend the following also including quick tips: Check PDX Maps 0:10 Submittal Date 1:08 (date of upload link request) Font 14 Lower Right Corner 1st Page of plan add Permit # Adding new page 2:25 Bubble page # Remove a page 2:46 Updating Calculations 3:06 Supplemental Replacement Checksheet Response Pages 4:30 Format (all PDF) 5:13 Organize and Name 6:11 Request Upload 6:50

Lisa seems so nice and helpful. I hope the Planner I’ve got an appointment with is the same. I’ve never been so stressed out trying to understand how to make good on a zoning issue that I unknowingly got myself into with a garage extension. There’s so much to try and learn, and the regulations and code language is like a foreign language to regular, non-architecturally inclined citizens. I hope you’ll do more videos on topics like Adjustment Reviews for variance. It’s so hard to comprehend the criteria required.

Hello, this does not seem to be a full recording of the meeting - where can I find an unedited version?
@PortlandPermits
@PortlandPermits 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Rebekah. This is an unedited version in terms of content, until the end when the recording was unexpectedly, mechanically cut-off during the recording process. Additionally, there were some members of the public who did not come up to speak into the microphone. We'll reply here with a new link to a new video once we have located decent quality of the ending.

Here is a link to a recording of the complete meeting: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZSln36Inb-Sgqs There are about 30 more minutes in this new version, at the end, from an alternate audio source. You'll notice a difference in quality, but it is intelligible. Thank you for your patience.

What if my neighborhood association isn’t welcoming to all residents? Can’t the developer choose a more inclusive option. BTW, I know many NAs are inclusive, but sadly I live in Richmond :-(
@PortlandPermits
@PortlandPermits 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. In short, the developer can select a location and it may or may not be at the neighborhood association. Neighborhood Contact 1 does not require a meeting. Neighborhood Contact 2 allows the developer to select a location for the meeting and it may or may not be at the neighborhood association meeting. Neighborhood Contact 3 allows the neighborhood association the option to host the meeting, but if they don’t want to, the developer may choose a different location. For both Neighborhood Contact 2 and 3, the meeting time, date and location will be on the sign installed on the site in case neighbors are not in communication with their neighborhood association. For more information you may contact: Matt Wickstrom, Senior City Planner Land Use Services Division Bureau of Development Services, City of Portland 1900 SW 4th Avenue, Suite 5000 Portland, OR 97201 503-823-6825 Work Hours: Monday through Friday 9:15 am to 5:45 pm

Great to see these improvements happening at BDS! It takes a lot of persistent effort to upgrade a complex system like plans review and field inspections, work that is very much appreciated by this occasional client.
