It's amazing how fibroids can start out small and grow massive. Mine was 10cm at first. Now it's 14cm. Feels like I'm carrying an unborn child but it's the fibroid. They really cause your stomach to protrude. Is surgery better than embolization? The heavy bleeding, prolonged bleeding is life altering. Caused my severe anemia which leads to iron infusion. I don't want hysterectomy. I hope this myomectomy is successful. 🙏

I had a Holep 3 months ago. Not without problems but it is a game changer much for the better. Don't know why this came up on my algorithm but this is a very good video on what to expect if you choose Holep.

I had two episodes after eating a health bar (Kind Bar, that is) and then the last one was after I ate dumplings and bagel. I think I ate super fast and did not chew food properly. In summary, chunky food that was not well chewed.

I have about 2 large fibroids that causes a lot of pain during my cycle and my abdomen is enlarged when I’m not on. I’ve never had surgery before & I am terrified but I believe it’s time to schedule an appointment because I can’t keep going through this pain 🥺🙏🏾

I have bronchiectasis and was told the effort of breathing can cause my heart to work harder to receive oxygen. I’ve lost 15kgs in weight without trying to. I sometimes wonder if I will stop losing weight. Being thinner help with breathlessness and getting around. I’ve started eating meat again which gives me the feeling of feeling full, and don’t eat any carbohydrates.

ANXIETY - LACK OF SLEEP - LACK OF EXERCISE - ELECTROLYTE IMBALANCE - INFECTION - STIMULANTS - LOW OR HIGH BLOOD SUGAR - DEHYDRATION - NIGHTMARE - It begins with stress which raises cortisol which depletes magnesium, potassium and B vitamins. This can lead to anxiety. If not resolved this can cascade into frequent episodes. And that's when other factors that didn't stimulate it now will that your body is in a weakened state.

2 year HoLep veteran… so much less invasive than other surgical solutions. Surgery in the afternoon, released the next morning. No major issues afterward. Be careful to avoid physical lower abdominal strains, lifting, etc for a few weeks. BPH a thing of the past. May be a longer wait to get this procedure as fewer doctors perform it primarily because it is a complex surgery to learn.. it is worth the wait.

I quit caffeine, I don’t smoke, nor drink, I tried many of the medication’s to stop it, I’ve lost weight, I drink several bottles of water every day to stay , and I still get A Fib about three times a month. In week I will try ablation. I’m hoping it’s going to work, but I’m skeptical it will because nothing else worked. The meds caused a block in my heart. They don’t tell you that is not all that uncommon before you take it and they should. It made my a fib worse, not better.

I had this surgery 5 days ago. I'm 64 and had a prostate of 75cc in size. I had experienced chronic urinary retention and had been self-catheterising since May, 4 months ago. This is really awkward, especially if you are not at home and led to quite a few urine infections. Everything Dr Gerber has said is true, pelvic floor exercises pre-op help with leakage/incontinence and the procedure is almost pain free. I have had mild burning and blood in my urine but this is clearing and becoming less frequent. The only difference I had is that I was kept in overnight as that was the hospital's policy for HoLEP. 5 days in I can't believe how well things are going. Flow rate is excellent and I'm returning to a normal life without catheters. For anyone considering HoLEP I hope these comments are helpful and support everything Dr Gerber has said.

I can identify some imediate causes for some of my AF episodes: - apnea swiming - swiming in cold water (rivers, cold pools, etc) - inspiring cold air while walking fast or for a short run - having a strong coffee (even a short one... if you don't know how strong it is, better not have it) - drinking spirits with no added water or more than three glasses of wine in social dinner, for instance - sleeping just couple of hours a night

another imediate cause: - while laying down on my back, trying to raise my head by bending my head, sometimes triggers some extra systole
