My beard comes down to the tip of my sternum (xiphoid process, if you want to be anatomically correct) and I was told on Friday that I would be required to either shave, trim, or put my beard up somehow for work due to safety concerns. I'm not upset about this, I work in a glass manufacturing plant and understand the need for safety.
