Hey thanks Stewart, Glad you like my tank ! I have a separate pump for the air bubble curtain. I also still get evaporation with the lid, I just top it up every couple of days. I replace the white filter every 2 weeks and the black filter every momth or so. I rinse it out in the tank water every week during my water change / cleaning of the tank. cheers

I have bought this size of Fluval Chi and have watched a lot of videos on them to get ideas about setting one up.Your tank is the best I have seen.I take it you use another pump for the air curtain?I also bought a lid but still get evaporation problems.Any advice?How often do you replace your filter?Any tips would be much appreciated.Once again a lovely tank.Cheers.

It adds so much more space, it's almost as big as the main tent ! You will not regret buying it.

I was planning on getting this tank too! With the filter, do you need to put any type of cleaning material in there? Or is just having the foam and filter pad that come with it good enough? Andwith your substrate, do you need to re-fertilize is with any type of root tablets after about 8 months? Because I dont know if I need to remove the substrate and replace it with new stuff instead or just use the tabs. If you replaced the substrate, how long did you have it in the tank b4 chaning it? Your tank looks great. Mine did when I first set it up but around day 4 after adding the fish there is a haze cloud right in the center of the water. I changed 20% of the water and it is still there somewhat. Did you have a problem with this at all? Your replacing the light strip interests me. Was it easy to do? Where did you get the replacement lights?

Cool. Well it just depends on what kind of fish you are going to get. I actually have the fluval spec. It is a nice tank but the flow return is a little too strong for my betta fish. I have also heard good reviews about the fluval chi. But it is up to you :D

Awwwww, I love your tank! It is very cool! I have an obsession with fluval chi videos! But I don't have one myself!!! :( Hopefully one for my birhtday though! I am thinking of upgrading my betta fish to the fluval chi from the fluval spec that he is in right now! any opinions? thanks.
