Wonder if the Dixie Cups ever thought this iconic song would span the globe? I grew up near and lived new New Orleans from the fifties until 2010. The music that came out of there in the fifties and sixties was great. Fats Domino, Irma Thomas, The Nevilles, Lloyd Price, Johnny Ace, Charles Brown, Ernie K-Doe, Frankie Ford, are artists from there. It was and is great soulful, happy and bluesy music. Long live Rock "N Roll!
