What an unexpected pleasure finding this video! First time hearing the Wood Brothers. They're coming to the Lyric Theater (Oxford, MS) in December 2024. I'm looking forward to being there!

What happened to the other guitarist Jason Sinay?
@smmst80 Жыл бұрын
He left after one of the legs of the tour, summer 2022 I think. Chris has been with them since. Matt Laug recorded the yet to be released new album but said he wouldn't tour this year. Neat to see Steve there and can't wait to see them this fall!

I don't know who he is, but I loved how he detuned and retuned strings while playing; Will Bart started doing the same as you see in the performance!

She reminds me of Amada Shires, both in looks [pretty!] and voice, though Sara's voice is smoother than Amanda's. I wish success for both!

How many videos has this outfit put out? The answer is, a lot. Finally we have one in Journey to Dodger Stadium that can be watched over and over again. Groundbreaking in its day, this re-release is akin to Apple (No, not that Apple. Apple as in The Beatles) re-releasing Let It Be. Although the film ends with a anticlimactic thud, it’s set up is pure Americana that is only dreamed about… A decades old rivalry between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants going at it on the 30th anniversary of Dodger Stadium on a hot August night with future HOF pitcher Oral Bulldog Hershiser on the hill. But the double secret of the films success is (SpoilerSpoil Alert!) at 14:10 & 18:56 when legendary umpire Dutch Rennert (His 19th and final MLB season) works his colorful signature called strike move that rivals Micheal Jackson’s moonwalk any day of the week. Other notables include “The Wave” and the somewhat over utilized super zoom coming in handy for a quick glimpse of legend Tommy Lasorda sitting on the bench.. Only time will tell if the charm and popularity of this film will be enhanced by Ballpark Shooter being seen here (at his first visit to Dodger Stadium) decades before earning the moniker.

These re-releases and newly mastered capture that Americana for sure. I forgot that this was the Ballpark Shooter's first Chavez visit-no wonder the behind dugout seats were an imperative tactical decision. Truly Dutch Rennert's performance makes the video. I'm sure there are more to follow.

So simple and sweet. Conjures up feelings of both youthful hope and the yang of inevitable sadness that accompanies it. Makes me yearn for those indellible moments of true innocent bliss that we all harken back to when the world becomes too real. This song takes me there. Thanks Sara & Sean.
