How did you get your new timing chain tight? @130k miles and I changed mine, but, the new one is just as loose. Is there a way to adjust the tension?

It was a new set, gears and chain. There is no adjustment

I had done the same job several times before on other cars, It took me about 8 hours maybe less.

@@davesgarage78 thanks your your reply. How do I make those mini dollies? I'm probably going to buy the engine and tackle this myself. I was going to pay a master mechanic to guide me along the way but I think I can do it myself

This is a classic: kid keeps popping in and out of car while having a great time with the guys, wife comes by every now and then feeding the kid and sometimes helping, even the dog gets in on the action - fun for the whole family!

Was that causing the engine to have a light chatter noise at cold starts my 1999 3.0 has 163k it just started to have a lite chatter on cold starts when I changed the oil an used synthetic i changed the heads an lifters on it at 157k an the engine was super clean on inside I didn’t see anything that would cause a noise an it didn’t make any noises when I changed the heads 6k miles ago

The engine ran fine with the old chain. I would not have known it was stretched by the way it ran.

Could you give me a how to on how to replace the timing chain? I've never messed with timing before but I wanna replace the chain on my 3.0L Ranger while I replace the timing cover Thanks :)

I had two of them they're great motorcycle I had two of them 112 horsepower stock more if you remove the baffles and it sounds nasty 16 more horsepower than a Goldwing

I bought it with a spun main bearing. I cleaned up and installed a salvage engine in it the same week this was filmed. It has been daily driven for the last 2 years. I still have the old engine and may rebuild it some day.

The back end had to stick out of the garage to make room for the crane. We moved it forward so the garage door would clear.
