The song was written by Lonnie Donegan who was a big star in England at the time. There's a video from just a few years ago where Tom is on the British version of "The Voice" as a judge. They bring Lonnie's son on to do a song, and then he agrees to do a duet with Tom on this song, and Tom tells the son just what a good friend Lonnie was and how much people loved him. There's several versions of The Voice from 2019 where Tom does crazy vocals of great Soul songs from the Sixties. He is a badass at 83 years old, and just as handsome, from what the ladies declare.

He's around 83 and still has an incredible voice. Even more beautiful than 60 years ago, not quite as powerful, but he can still sing this song better than anyone on the planet. He sings like he's forty.
