Lol! As a Canadian I subscribe to a lot of hockey YT channels ... that is ICE hockey, not field hockey. Yet, this video was recommended to me in my feed so I clicked on it. It seems the YT algorithm thinks ice hockey EQUALS field hockey (and vice versa) so taht anyone playing one is also playing the other. Not so; at least not in my experience! I don't know anyone who plays field hockey. I've never seen it being played, and, even though it might be a great sport, I have zero interest in the sport. I imagine it's the same with all of you with ice hockey. And, what's worse is taht now that I've commented on this video, I'm probably going to see a lot more field hockey videos ... God Damn It!?!
@BossFHockeyКүн бұрын
yeah there isn't a lot of cross over between the 2. The problem with the algorithm is that "hockey" is used in North America to mean Ice hockey and it is used to mean Field hockey in the rest of the world.

Thinking of getting this stick as a non-drag flicker since it looks sick.. anyone that been using it for a while thinks it's worth it? should I just go with the Crown Pro? Would be great if you could do a video on the crown Pro.

We really wouldn't recommend getting the LIFT stick as a Non-drag flicker (Maybe wait around 6months . . for a secret reason 😏🤐)

stick looks great but also bears a few similarities with an old grays KN10 mold with a similar groove, head shape, and pretty near identical bow, still a remarkable stick that can be used as a more all rounder stick than the KN10
@BossFHockey18 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say they were similar, they have similar features on paper but that's true of a lot of sticks.

Thanks Boss, great insight! Some really interesting points that we haven't ever considered; such as the oval handle shape helping with your sense for reverse hitting 😁We'll be watching this video closely, multiple times, for research 😉

That Goalie can either not be asked or should look for another position on the pitch, too flat footed for a strike against them (even though its only training). Either way, a good review on the stick. What about reviews on those of use who are goalkeepers and need a decent stick ?
@BossFHockey19 күн бұрын
Or some of the clips are from the goalkeepers warm up. In terms of goalkeeper kit review I'd not be much help as I haven't played in goal, unless you want to know what it's like for dragflicking with?
@RamosTheSlamos20 күн бұрын
Great Review boss, been wanting to see a crown stick in action for a while now, given their price. But it’s cool to see a dragflicking stick that doesn’t compromise in everything else (As a previous project blanc owner)
@W.PECHY618 күн бұрын
tbf project blanc is a dribbling and flicking stick specifically not an all rounder, Y1's LB and YLB sticks are both incredible dragflicking options that dont compromise any other aspects of play
@DFasey20 күн бұрын
Good comprehensive review as ever! I play with a lift, I have to say as a drag flicker it’s the best all round stick I’ve played with. As you alluded to maybe not the most ludicrous flicking stick but it mitigates the usual draw back to such an aggressive bow.

damn those dragflicks are nice, ordered a nemesis 70 and its coming tomorrow, I just want to be able to still hit hard with it, do you think it is possible to still do so with a lower carbon stick?
@BossFHockey3 ай бұрын
You can still hit hard with a lower carbon stick, the stiffness of a stick transfers the swing power to the ball, a slightly lower carbon stick will just transfer a slightly lower amount of the power so it's a little bit harder to hit the ball harder but it is still possible.

I am currently using the 2022/2023 version of the y1 lbx And I play as a flexible player mostly midfield/attack I would also like to know which one you prefer for flicking/hitting/dribbling/passing ,feel and power and which one you find more all rounded and comfortable to use maybe even which one you play better with. It would help a lot

I am just asking as I want to know if there is any advantage or preference for the Osaka over the y1 as I can’t really try Osaka sticks cause I’m in the uk It would also be nice to tell me which company you generally prefer. Thanks for the videos and your help
