I thought it was a sling stud bipod. Do you recommend installing a rail and going the route you did? Thanks, Michael

I like the design and overall quality of the Accu-tac bipods. I will be getting at least one. However, correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that the cant and pan adjustment levers are made of plastic and are not covered under warranty. Those are critical parts. Everything else on the bipods except the rubber feet are metal, why not those levers? Why not under warranty?
@Atoyota25Ай бұрын
They are plastic. I couldn't say about the warranty but, I've never had any issue with them. I hear your concern though.

I’ve been looking at almost all of these metal resetting hunter field targets and I must say that combining this Gamo targets hit zone system with the crosman or highland resetting targets paddle system would be the best of both worlds. The highland targets resetting paddle is in the center of its body so your resetting shot would also be a kill zone practice shot compared to the crosman squirrel where the resetting paddle is below the targets silhouette. In concept all it would take is buying the two separate systems and to drill a hole above or below the paddle hole on the target. Then toss the metal rings in to restrict the bullseye as you wish and bingo, no more string pulling and you always have the option to restrict the bullseye. 🤷🏻♂️

This was a fantastic review. Great stuff! Thanks very much for sharing this with us.🙏🏻🇨🇦 I have just got my first Accu-Tac, (FC5-G2), which I think will be the last bipod I ever buy. They’re a lot more expensive to buy with our lowly Canadian dollar, BUT as you’ve made abundantly clear-ANY other bipod looks and feels like they were made from cheap material, by slave labourers for a low price-dare I say "cheap"? Harris, Atlas…I’m shocked by the humongous difference in quality. You can see it and feel it. I bought Accu-Tac’s "Sling Stud Rail Adapter"-again not cheap but it’s built to last generations! If more people knew they could get an adapter made by ACCU-TAC for ACCU-TAC Bipods to use on a rifle that has no Picatinny Rail, they would choose to. I have done a lot of work to find out that there’s a simple solution.
@Atoyota257 ай бұрын
Wonderful! Yeah, the Accu-Tac's came out on top in my "Top Picks" video as well. I compare bipods within 3 different price ranges and pick my top 3. I'm really glad my video was helpful and really appreciate the compliment! It was a lot of work making all these bipod videos! LOL!

Thanks Tom for the great video. My problem is it needs to shoot a little faster. I bought mine about a year and a half ago. My main concern is that when I have it on high it has an average 925fps with .22 caliber 14.3gr pellets. When I turn it to medium it drops to 620fps and when I go to low it is 430fps. What could be causing that? Thank you for your time.
@Atoyota258 ай бұрын
Hi Steven, Have you tried the 18gr pellets? The Royale's have always been a fan of those. 18's at about 905-910 (IIRC) is magic! How fast are you looking to go? If you break the speed of sound, there's a good chance you'll see your groups open up. Regarding your question, there is a balance between the regulator and the hammer spring adjuster (Part #D2) If you have adjusted your hammer spring already, you may have pushed it too far? If you've adjusted your regulator, without a reg tester, it may be set too low. (A regulator tester is the ONLY way to accurately adjust those regulators.) Be advised, the hammer spring adjuster has loc-tite on it! You have to heat it up to break the loc-tite loose or you'll strip the hex key hole. A side option might be to grab a HUMA regulator from AoA. I've been thinking about picking one up for my loaner R400. 2 reasons... 1) It's HUMA which means it's quality 2) It has adjustment marks on it so, no need for a reg tester. I'd post this question on Airgun Nation. You'll have advice coming from all over the world from people with huge amounts of knowledge about this.
@stevenrowe50478 ай бұрын
@@Atoyota25 thank you. I do also shoot the 18gr but the fastest they will go is 830fps. I like to shoot them at around 930fps. I wish it was as easy to adjust as my crown, impact m3, the king or the alpha wolf. My red wolf pushes the 18gr at 980 on low. I will check out that website you suggested. Thanks again.

@@Atoyota25 Thanks for getting back to me. It’s a Vortex LPVO. A 1-6x24 PST Gen 2. I put a mirror in front of the objective and saw the faint shadow crosshairs, but they appear really well lined up with the brighter crosshairs. I put the red dot on a low setting and that confirmed it. That said, I did it with the scope mounted on the rifle and may have not had the mirror completely flat against the scope. This is my “go to” rifle so as it is dialed in well enough right now, I don’t want to mess with it until I have another set of optics on hand to replace it with, in case I have to send it to Vortex.
