Vern and his band Burning Breeze are very talented. My favorite song of Vern's is Rain. We're so blessed to have Vern in Florida.

Sam is as cool as his Dad. I have seen his Dad a few times, and even met him once, and it has all been good to great and a most enjoyable experience. Thanks for posting, and good luck in the future Sam.

For people who love jam bands who’re just finding these guys, you just hit the jackpot 🎰 I’m a 46 year old Phish fan seeing them since ‘95. I’ve tried getting into countless other jam bands over the years, but I’ve usually been unimpressed by their original songs which end up sounding so similar, and uninteresting. Not so with these boys; their original songs immediately got me so excited for their diversity & originality. If you love Phish, Ween, Zappa, GD, Gizz, etc. I feel like they have taken these influences and created something all their own. Can’t wait to see what they continue to do…For me they’re the most exciting band to come out of this scene in as long as I can remember.

The ominous seapods were the best part of my life! The adventurers and their friendship that turned into a family is a memory that I will cherish forever. I remember the first time I saw them play they scratched an itch I couldn’t reach. As time passed Dana had told me that he loved that old people loved their music 😅 I was 37 years old 😂 I miss you guys so much. Love you 😘

Cool interview. I saw the Project at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City. I look at these folks as an analog of the Q or JRAD, but in a different way. My personal opinion is that the catalog is typically jam first with some alright singing. My take is that these guys are the best I've heard singing it. Don't get me wrong...these cats can play, but their singing takes are the best I've heard and I've heard quite a lot. I bought a fe)w of his dad's picks (mando) which are my favorite for playing guitar...the rounded edge. Thanks.

Good conversation. I found this kind of by accident, not unlike how I stumbled upon wook+. Good to see Kevin solo.I've been listening and seeing Stanley since the 80's. It is nice to see him embrace this book.

great job by Kevin Hogan offering prompts but not needing to make himself a performer so many interviewers need to prove they know the answer already when they ask the question

@@allthatjampod well earned brother thanks for putting Stanley Jordan on my music map I was lucky enough to live in Bay Area & see 200+ Dead shows but mostly listen to jazz & classical most decades, but there's so much out there it's hard to find all the good stuff & I have so many favorites I go back to again and again. Stanley was just another name I never got around to. I thoroughly enjoyed his eloquence in this interview. Looking forward to enjoying his musical eloquence when I can give it due time. Thanks again, for the vid, & for biting yr tongue so well in it.

Hey Kevin, Loved your interview. So many things to comment. To start, my sister and family live in Baltimore. I met Stanley thirty years ago at the Blue Note. I went to university with Greg Koerner, and have also seen the Dead around 200x. I am also a podcaster. Any way to put my name in front of Stanley? Would love to have him on my show to talk about his music and his discovery and appreciation of the Dead. "If you get confused, listen to the music play..." When is Stanley coming across the pond to play (I'm based in London).

Really great discussion Stanley thank you my friend ; hope to see you doing the Dead thing somewhere near Portland OR! Very interesting and informed discussion. Hope you do get on the road late this year or the next to showcase your brilliance and strong Jerry communion!
