If you continue in this way bro you are always behind . Remember Nigeria is not competing with any African country we roll with the America . Our next move Is to take over American stage .

Fela didn't create afrobeats. His was called afrobeat which was still heavily influenced by Ghanaian highlife. Afrobeats is a name given to popular African genres, so please fellow Nigerians, stop claiming that you own it.
@Osas4Ray2 жыл бұрын
Let's look at this matter critically said Afrobeat is heavily influenced by hi-life? Now Afrobeat as a Genre has different elements which is Jazz, Funk, juju and hi-life. Now Ghanaians are claiming they own it bcos of one element which hi-life. For u to say u own this genre it means Ghana owns juju, funk and American jazz. Fela kuti used to produce song with hi-life as fela koola lobitos in the 60's but when he change to Fela Anikulapo kuti he changed his sound from the regular hi-life and added the other elements which talked about ( jazz, funk and Yoruba juju). And this gave birth to AFROBEAT. Now the question is? Does Ghana produce American funk? Does Ghana produce American Jazz Does Ghana produce Juju music. So how can you come out and tell the whole world u own AFROBEAT.
@atobiteadedunjoye12072 жыл бұрын

Clarity about what? Here in the States, Afrobeat is Nigerian. Reggae/Dancehall is Jamaican. Rap is American. The entertainment hub of Africa is Nigeria. Period. People see Nigeria as the America of Africa. The only country in black Africa that can cut-off every country in Africa and can stand on their own without any support. In 2017, Shata Wale said he's bigger than Wizkid. That he his more of a super star than Wizkid. He even made a song about it.. Now in 2021, where is ShattavWale today compare to Wizkid? Who is the global superstar now?? If you Ghanians are smart, you would have noticed a pattern with Nigerians. They never respond to stupid. ShattavWale always dis Wizkid and Burnaboy on social media out of jealousy and bitterness, traits that is only akin to Ghanians. But Nigerians never respond because silence is the best answer to a fool. So. Stop comparing an Ant to an Elephant. You should be omparing yourselves to Cameroon, Zimbawe or Ivory Coast music and entertainment industries.
