Great fighter . Couldn’t skate , pass , shoot or score but other than that he was a great hockey player .

Stoyanov got the first lick in because of his reach but clearly lost the fight. Twist is such a beast. However the extra punch while Stoyanov was on the ice and defenseless was not needed. That's not "the code".

Simon was one of the scariest ever if you ask me. He was huge, had a temper, and when he was mad there was no stopping that left hand.

Surely that guy is in prison by now. Imagine having so little control over your emotions.

Look at the river rats roster that season, Bertrand is probably the 6th toughest guy on that team. And that's who the "animal" chose to fight. Tells you all you need to know about why he never made the NHL. Scouts definitely notice things like that, instead of fighting Rob Skrlac. You go after Bertrand!? That's not giving the big club much confidence in you coming up and handling the NHL big boys when you're actively dodging the AHL big boys.
@4thlineVoice13 күн бұрын
haha ...Bialowas fought everyone and was regarded as one of the toughest guys in the AHL. His fighting ability wasn't the reason he never made the NHL

He was the Sabres' best fighter. His long arms were a big advantage. He could land hard punches, and they couldn't reach him.

So many Philly homers in the comments. That thing was a draw when Caufield jumped in. I would've liked to see it keep going. Actually looked like Mcphee was starting to land the better shots.
