I like how the video shows the quick turn throttle opening further, the whole point for it is for it to open less lmao

I spent all arvo struggling with this. Searched a bunch of videos and nothing really helped. This helped confirm I had the cables right, but then clearly showed me I had failed by butting the grip up to the bar too tight. Thank you so much for a video that just showed exactly what needed to be shown. Cheers!

I need a slower, more progressive Tamer. For a 1999 Yamaha XJ 600S Diversion. On G2 site, the model isn't shown. Would any other bike use the same size/ratio/set up? Mikuni 28 Carb's.

I know that I'm a decade late to this video but if your still taking comments I want to thank you for this video. I bought a Gas Gas TXT 300 trials bike and I'm 59 years old, I'm in the process of recovering from throat cancer surgery. I got a great deal on the bike and although I can't ride it yet I'm super excited to have it for when I can. Hopefully before winter sets in I can get her broken in. So many people told me to install a domino slow action throttle so I ordered it from The Tryals Shop. No instructions 😮 I really didn't have a clue what I was doing I never disassembled a throttle tube. You made it go very easily. This throttle tube takes way more twist than the factory one and I'm hoping it tames the 300 down just a bit. Thanks and I hope your doing well

I have just fitted one to my 2015 Ducati Scrambler. These are notorious for having snatchy throttles. It made a very slight difference but its only really a sticking plaster fix. The real cure is a dyno remap for the fuelling, which is scheduled. The throttle is now much smoother than stock due to the Delrin bushes but it is a slightly sloppy fit on the bars. I fitted new Oxford Fatgrips as the stock grips are a bit thin and had to be cut off anyway. I slid the new grips on using water based lube. There should be no need to glue them on as when the lube dries they don't slip.

Constructive criticism: your hands were in the way of alot of the removal and reassembly steps. We might as well be listening to this how-to on the radio...can't see.

Too bad you guys don’t show how to glue the stupid grips on …. Not gonna lie I’m pretty pissed. I Spent 140 bucks on this throttle just to glue the shit out of it and ruin it. I hardly used any glue and it seeped under the bushings and glued them up

That's easy, thanks, but can you tell us how to remove a 'closed end' grip without ruining it? Would a heat gun work?
@NickVetter2 жыл бұрын
I have seen lots of people melt their grips with a heat gun. It might help but be careful.

Eh looks fairly simple. I snapped my top cap on the throttle housing in a race unfortunately. But I know not to lose the brass piece when taking out the pulling. Thanks

Thanks for the tip. That red thing attached to the WD-40's nozzle is not a "tube," it is a "straw." WD-40 is not a lubricant. Despite this deficiency I find it can be used for a surprising number of tasks. Not just Water Displacement (as it is named for), but also good at removing grease and cleaning sticky price tag residue off items.
