We can all become “change agents” for good, the strong link 🔗 in our familial lives ansmd covenants. Chains of addiction or false believes can bind us, but we can also break those change and choose to honor our family covenants as the strong link through Christ! 😇🙏

You shall have no other gods before you. Jesus, Lord and Jesus is all you need. Joseph Smith was just a man and not a martyr. Joseph Smith was shot and fell out the window in a jail cell. Jesus went to the slaughter. That's why he's called the Lamb of God because he went willingly, but Joseph Smith was snuck in a revolver into his jail cell. He fought his way because he did not want to die.

martyr /mär′tər/ noun One who chooses to suffer death rather than renounce religious principles. It would seem by your very assertion that Joseph Smith was indeed a martyr. And the good news is that we agree that "Joseph Smith was just a man" and that while he (like all prophets) are a type of Christ, that he wasn't a perfect shadow/type - there is only One Who is perfect. But much like Christ asked "Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.", I think that lines up perfectly with a prophet of God being willing to give his life, but not necessarily wanting to in the moment.

I'd dare say the Bible is first and foremost a Jesus book, as those who study it are called "Christians", not "Catholics". Catholics are a subset of those who follow Christ, not the set as a whole.

Thanks so much for posting this and the insights it gave into a very rapidly growing issue. I felt so sorry for dear "Amy" and the confusion she has felt from other peers comments and actions regarding the Trans-issue. Satan really has got so many people on the run with what's happening regarding gender issues. How he must be laughing at all this. I admit I find it really very difficult not to make negative comments about people who have got caught up in Satan's web and don't even realise it. In this respect, I don't say anything. Is that weak of me? I guess it is, but I try so hard not to get angry about how society deals with this. Too many are making light of this issue but it is so serious as it threatens family unity and personal relationships. I have been close to this in the past in the society I once moved in, so am not ignorant of the problems and the damage it causes. Thanks to Pres, Oaks and Sister Oaks for their comments, and Pres. Nelson too. Thank Heavenly Father for the Plan of Salvation. We all need to hold fast to the truth, and not condemn anyone for what they really believe. Prayer is so necessary as is living the Two Great Commandments.

Question: Why doesn’t the Prophet openly and directly condemn sin/organisations and call them out for their unrighteous purposes? Answer: Joseph Smith taught one of the many reasons* was to protect the Church in order for it to continue its purposes: "Our lives have already become jeopardized by revealing the wicked and blood thirsty purposes of our enemies**; and for the future **we must cease to do so**; all we have said about them is truth, but **it is not always wise to relate such truth**. **Even Jesus the Son of God had to refrain from doing so, and to restrain his feelings many times for the safety of his own person and those of his followers, and had to conceal the righteous purposes of his heart in relation to many things pertaining to his father’s Kingdom**. When quite a boy he had all the intelligence necessary to rule and govern the Kingdom of the Jews, and could reason with the wisest and most profound doctors of law and divinity, and make their theories and practice to appear like folly compared with the wisdom he possessed, but he was a boy only, and lacked physical strength even to defend his own person, and was subject to cold, to hunger, and to death. So it is with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; we have the principles of revelations and the knowledge within us is sufficient to organize a righteous government upon the earth, and to give universal peace to all mankind if they will receive it; **but we lack the physical strength as did our Savior when a child, to defend our principles, and we shall have of necessity to be afflicted, persecuted, and smitten, and to bear it patiently until Jacob is of age; then he will take care of himself.**” - Joseph Smith Papers, Historian's Office, Martyrdom Account page 53. "Not Always Wise to Expose Evil" Thursday, a.m.-June 27, 1844.- From Teachings of Joseph Smith

What's fake, a devotional/talk? That goes out to a worldwide Church and thus is prepared to be read, so accurate translations can be done in real time? Or is the confusion of the world fake? Or is the concept of truth fake? This is a very vague comment . . .
