The soundtrack has always mesmerized me, being so colorful and meditative, and I think that's also a big part of the experience

I assumed so much more was being done by the DAC that isn't! That "drum roll" at 1:14 on CH4 in particular... it sounds amazing!! This is a great video!

Someone should make the mega Drive sonic one make the graphics like the 8-bit sonic one and remove all the Mega drive Channels it would totally fit on the master system

I always that the stage clear music was one of the best in video games history, along with Streets of Rage 2

It's nice to hear what this zone's theme sounds like when it's deconstructed like this please could you also do this for other sonic levels as well if you could I'd greatly appreciate it and would love to hear what other zone themes would sound sound like when deconstructed

This is how music is made? There are tiny parts of the melody that make the entire damn song

I don't know much about it, but that's how chiptunes work. Full-featured music has just left and right in comparison.
@RWL2012 Жыл бұрын
this is tracker / chiptune music. the console _itself_ generates the sound and plays the notes. it's not like modern machines that play recorded music files. so with emulation the channels can be played individually.

And that was for Green Hill only, imagine how long it takes to deconstruct a song from a modern game! Sonic Team never fails to make amazing music. Not even in the most rushed games!
