Whose satire? Do you mean Rameau, or Minkowski, or Delunsch, or stage director (Laurent Pelly), or choreographer (Laura Scozzi), or ... ? :)

Indeed, it is a satire. Italian singers of course but also of the Italian Otario. At that time there was what is called "fool's war" the French and Italian was in competition and as Rameau, official composer since 1745 was of course the best placed to participate in this Franco-Italian conflict

bueno, esta es una agrupación del más alto vuelo...eso sí me gustaría que siendo historicistas conservarán la puesta en escena lo más apegada al barroco

Emilio Vergara - Totalmente de acuerdo, considero desagradable cuando usan escenarios y trajes modernos. Recuerdo el oratorio Theodora de Handel dirigido magistralmente por Christie y arruinado por una puesta en escena moderna. O el Don Giovanni de Gardiner, lo mismo. Realmente lamentable.

Claro...yo me quedo con la tradición de respeto de Saval por ejemplo y hay una colaboración entre el director de escena francés Ponelle y Harnoncurt para 3 óperas de Monteverdi que son ejemplares.

Un maquillage de clown pour un personnage clownesque (et que Delunsch jouait ouvertement et magnifiquement clownesque), c'est pourtant particulièrement judicieux. Sauf pour les grincheux apparemment.

Mise en scène catastrophique ? qui a eu un succès énorme et à juste titre. Vous avez l'air de si bien connaître l'œuvre que vous dites qu'il s'agit du costume de Platée... alors que Delunsch incarne La Folie ! ah, gardez-nous des doctes pisse-froid, Apollon !

Rameau étant un musicien "déjanté", la mise en scène doit l'être aussi ! Personnellement, étant une inconditionnelle de Platée, c'est la meilleure que je connaisse !
