This writer finds this a good movie, for propaganda purposes. What is left OUT is the wholesale murder of the leadership of the Viet Cong, the gulags for the loosing side people, the murder of thousands of ordinary people. One of them was this writers friend, a Buddhist monk. His crime was liking Americans. Signed/ a Viet Nam veteran

The title of this film is ‘Mùi Có Cháy.’ My Vietnamese isn’t great but I believe that literally means ‘The Smell of Burning’ or Burning Smell. No Grass sadly, although the phrase comes up a number of times. It has an IMDB rating of 6.7, not 7.9. PS DO NOT READ the description before watching the film, as for whatever reason V-Sense gives the story and ending away. V-Sense: I’ve subscribed because I love VN and its film industry, but pls don’t mislead people with misinformation in the title and five away the story in the description! Thanks and I look forward to more good films.
